she must have been nuts to even worry about a camera. I counted more than 11 covert cameras covering the crowds. Some of the people in the crowds seemed top be doing a lot of filming with their phones etc ! The Police where openly filming everyone !

well there is the difference. I for one would have never allowed any men under my command to go back and act ******** like many do. Thats why i see a difference between us. You come over as a Bonehead who seems to think Fists are answers. Too much bravado, beer and shirts from topshop. Your mate must have done something to get a bashing? All your talk about " my guys in the reg would give you a bashing" sums up what is wrong with the forces. I can count on one hand the times i ever saw fists fly in my Regiment. As i mentioned before soldiers tend to be a right pain in the *** when they go out ! ( that also includes Officers) .
But i do not play this "brothers" game with people i served with etc. we did our jobs well, kept quiet and got on with life. The main difference is what we do after we leave the forces. For me i have earned the right to my opinion.
And unless you are telling porkies........ You need to ask around to know exactly what certain regiments have been up to in the last 25 years. To say they are not Soldiers has made you look a fool to anyone who is/has served.
You upset that maybe you might have had to salute me ? :-)

Also the fact that we were told to go back there and sort it out by the OC spoke volumes about what happened it was not a rash reaction that wasn't thought about.
My guess is that 95% of what you're saying here is complete bollix and you're just trying to make a dent in that sad existance of yours by being so damn controversial and getting people to bite.
As for me saluting you, not a chance sunshine I held a decent rank.
To give you a clue my training at Lympstone was alot longer!!

My word, you were a Fg Off in the RAF.... Hardly a position of great achievement or one that commands respect.
To leave as the lowest level as an officer you either served for about 3 years or got a commission and then left very soon into it.

I have served in Iraq twice now and all my mates are of to Afgan in the next few weeks,( i cannot go as i am on a ERE at the moment).
But see if i ever meet you LUKE i can assure you i will slap you you little turd, every one has aright to free speech but you are just a wind up merchant and a disgrace to the uniform you once wore.

In your dreams !! you see. i use a brain to fight, All your posts seem to contain some form of Violent answer. Thats the difference and one you are unable to deal with. Not all service men are Boneheads and go out on the **** with their colleagues . Most of the time we had little to do with each other in our free time. We did not live the classic "boys together " forces life. You need to read a few old posts in this thread, I worked with a few and we kind of shared the same thoughts.
And as for talking about it ..then yes i am happy!
now try some yoga etc to try and reduce your violent attitude towards life !
So you claim to be a OF-2 or above ? And where told by a even senior officer to go back and fight Door staff? something very very wrong there. Never really worked with Commandos . But One ex Officer here on scoobynet i have met and he struck me as a real cool head guy.
you seem like the type of guy that cannot handle others opinions . I have never ever challenged your time in the forces etc or called you a liar, If you say you served in 42 Commando then i believe you. If your telling lies then why should i care ? Its you who knows you would then be fake !
And why should Media escort work not involve some sort of CP work ? I was one of the very first people to set up a business covering media only teams. Small and with some good support. I only stopped when the support was been removed and it was just not worth the risk . I visited some very interesting places and only in 3 needed to be armed. The rest was more "health and safety " type stuff !!

I'd like to see some photos of you and the guys in action in Iraq Luke, like some previous genuine posters. Nowt do to wae any secret squirrel stuff mind, just a few candid non specific photos, perhaps some of you and the lads and lassies chilling out, or keepin the peace wae the locals, faces blanked out of course. This would certainly make the disbelievers sure that you aren't the saddo you seem to come across as in this thread 
Perhaps some snaps wae the local lassies even, as ye want to come across as some sort of lad wae the natives?
