well there will be 5 of us out tonight out in the wind tonight- usually get from at least 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hrs in every monday night- 90% its mtb-- just pleasant escaping the roads. we tend to have a sunday am out most weeks and half of us get a few miles in to work and back during the week.
must admit it'd be hard to actually be bothered to go out yr self, doing it as a group and not letting each other down helps.
all respect to you guys who make the effort and do yr own thing too. roll on some good weather eh ?

Austin, I could do with a group to cycle in but commuting makes you get used to solo cycling, plus need a spanky road bike for any organised road malarkey, plus with three kids its getting the time at weekends, there is always sport clubs and parties to take them to, have started taking them cycling but its hard work.

Need some advice !
A lad a work is selling a hardly used Felt F75 road bike, he paid over a grand last year and has hardly used it, have seen two on Ebay, one with upgraded wheels went for £640 and a standard one £521.
He bought it and hasn't really used it, partly as he is about 6ft 3 and its a 56 cm frame, I am thinking for my 6ft it should be ok but will obviously try it, I think I would probably if buying new go for a 58 but if its cheap enough and i feels right I might give it a go, any thoughts ?

You should be fine with a 56cm. The height is not such an issue it's the top tube length ( reach ) that is important, if it feels short then you could always add a longer stem to compensate...
Nice bike the F75....

no idea where you live- but I'm sure I've seen a scooby in Bradford with yr username as a no plate.
we meet in Bingley for monday night rides. just works well for everyones family commitments.
weekends it'll be starting say haworth/hebden bridge/gargrave/hellifield and so on depending on what we do. but always a 8.30/9.00 start so folks can be back for early afternoon.
weekends it may well be road cycling- although not everyone has a road bike so often its mtb
anyway if you fancy a monday night ?
there's no bollox about bikes and kit though- we all ride on numerous old creaky things clad in various old clothes etc. a new lad turned up last night in fookin body armour and a light strapped to his head.
I think the star wars/storm trooper jokes lasted for an hour
fitness wise- should be able to climb direct from bingley centre straight onto top of ilkley moor (up to masts) in one go as a benchmark ??

Austin, thats not me, faircly conclusive evidence granted, being the same as my username on a Subaru BBS but my plate is much more sedate and I drive a Saab, I chose the username as was after JACKO but it had gone, hadnt realised the number plate connotation, though seeing as I am quite attached to the J4CKO username I wouldnt mind it now ! we have MU 31 on retention, would swap it for that if I could.
My mate is bringing the Felt in for me to try, its rather nice in the photos, Ferrari Red.
