Alcantara looks the mutts!!!

Forget the 2.35 and go for a 2.5 with a standard position turbo...... you would love it!

500++ on normal pump fuel.

485bhp at 1.45bar of boost, just when you want to take it easy!

sounds awesome Shaun, but a good 2.5 cosworth is mucho expensive in relation to everything else out there and in order to rev a 2.5 and do 2 bar i gather it has to be cossworth, I'm just thinking that if I do bring my car to UK one mory time, maybe its worth fiddling with the engine, considering in 2 cylinders compression has decreased slightly. Do you have some more details on the AET turbo you got now, maybe a photo

I know they have been testing them, both the 2ltr and 2.5ltr variants over the past few weeks.

I am sure Iain will come along and give an update.

So far I gathered that both variants will be bolt-on for JDM twin scroll cars, right?

Am waiting too! Simon of JGM has mentioned he's hoping to map a couple of cars with the new turbo soon, so hopefully some graphs may appear before long.

And yes, there will be 2L and 2.5L versions, and lots of bespoke variants depending on what you after. They are designed to be bolt ons for JDM twinscroll headers although intake pipe may have to be changed also.

But no news from Litchfield of late.

I am really curious as to how this turbo is going to turn out... I would love to have a real stock Twin Scroll Location upgraded turbo!

I've just put a HKS GT2835 on my UK Blob STi, mapping next Saturday with Simon (JGM).
Obviously I now have a different downpipe (HKS decat), manifold (HKS) and sump as well. I'm looking forward to see what it performs like, map will be EcuTek

it will be very interesting to see a compare between the hks unit and litchfield's, considering the HKS is so far the largest twin scroll bolt-on turbo

Zerosports intake system with alu box
As aluminium is a good conductor of heat it may not be the right choice for the box.

What power are the twin scrolls capable of. 2 litre Classic engine where boost up to 1.8-2 bar is OK?

Apologies for the delay in providing more information but we have been very busy testing the new turbos and as I’m sure you can appreciate it has been a huge project. So far the results have been better than expected, compared to the other similar turbo core combinations we appear to have improved spool up and a slight improvement in top end power
Our 2.0 Type-20 turbo used the small Turbine housing for great response and produced just over 410bhp. The larger core version produced 440bhp with very good spool characteristics The same core but larger Turbine housing on our 2.5 Type-25 gave similar power but instantaneous throttle response. The mapping is relatively conservative with each car using just V-power
There are a huge range of combinations we can try and we’re slowly working through the different combinations.
I have ordered the first 50 turbos and these are in production so I hope we have units available soon.
I will put more detailed information on the website during the week.

Regards

Iain

Thanks for the up date Iain. I will certainly be looking forward to reading more on this project. i don't suppose you've done any testing on any older model JDM twinscroll cars or old Spec C's ?

So far we have used 3x 2.0 MY08/09 JDM STIs and a MY07 Type-25 for the larger housing.
We have lots of data from earlier cars and the hybrid turbos we would use on both 2.0 & 2.5 engines.

the only thing is that the GRB cars have dual AVCS vs single on intake in GDB, this affects the spool, right?

so will you be doing any tests on GDB 2.0 JDMs?

I'm really looking forward to theses turbos too. I guess they will need larger injectors such as 800's? Also are they twin wastegate holes like the vf37/36?

it is a twinscroll turbo based on the vf36 roller bearing turbo, so it will be twin entry

Is it clear than JDM MY 03/04/05 twin scroll turbo engine are the same than JDM 06/07 ?

I own a MY04 JDM and am interested by this turbo as well.
