There aren't many GT3s under £40k and prices are rising. Around £2k in the last month.
Anything under £40k should be looked at very carefully.. even for Mk I cars.

Was this a dealer sale, or a private sale Spooky?
If dealer, what warranty have you got with it?
If Private are you getting a warranty on it? If so, who with & how much?

Yellow ones don't sell well. There are three or four on the market at the moment.
I have never seen a blue one - black, grey or silver are pretty common.
I have to say 911s are common as muck - I drove eleven miles today and I saw five!!! And only one Scooby

Thanks Moley - I am still stunned by the pace of this thing. It is also a much more complex car than the Spec C - it is harder to access 10/10ths or even close.
I cannot wait to get it on track and really extend it

I have to say that five hundred miles on I absolutely love this car. It is just so different to any other driving experience and more than any other car it absolutely has to be driven!

I had the joy of having a 10 mile passenger trip in Spooky's car last night, and i can say i am thoroughly impressed with it. It has rekindled my want of a 911 that's for sure.
Spooky's old 911 left me feeling let down about the "911" childhood dream, but the GT3 is so many worlds apart from his old one, that the childhood dream is back.
So much so, i found myself driving into the office this morning in my E46 M3, having a casual play with a scoob that was trying, and all i was thinking about, was how would the GT3 be like on this journey!
Bu66er!

...and letting you pull away in your M3 (I had cold oil!!) I am sure will also pique your curiosity
You are right though - my old 993 did not ultimately light the fire. Stupendous GT car, not really a sports car.
The GT3 is everything the 993 wasn't, and a lot more.
I did say that once you heard that engine you would be wanting one. I will lend you my Porsche Supercar book - all the comparisons of GT2s against GT3s have the GT3 winning as the overall better drivers car. The GT2 is a rocketship by any standard though - but you already have a rocketship.

My cousin has it sussed, he gets paid to drive a bloke round in the evening in a 911 Turbo, round the pubs near where I live, he popped in last night for a brew, awesome car, maybe one day, don't want one you understand, I just want some to pay me to drive theirs, it has completely got it out of his system without spending 100 grand.

I figured you were treating the GT3 nicely, Pat has told me off numerous times for not allowing the oil to warm up on the M3, but its a car i just get in and drive.
You have a really stunning car there, look after it.

I am sure the complex valvetrain of the M3 would prefer warmer oil although it had been driven earlier so not completely unlubed
If we can work out getting the three of us down to Bruntingthorpe we can all have a go in each others cars. I bagsy first go in Chris's Lambo

Awesome thread.
Something for me to aim towards.
If you ever down Berkshire way i know someone who would be up for a passenger ride (me)
On the track ive been really dissappointed with the 911's, but i would put that down to the owners lack of skills. Im sure the car is very capable.
Only been against one GT3 but that was in my mates evo, the gt3 lost, but his evo is immense.
/me Jealous

Lovely car, but I just reckon these models look so old now. Im not saying they arent fast, or lovely, etc, but the newer model with the LED lights etc, has made this model look dated.

Assuming all cars are as nature intended, the GT3 is hard to beat, throw in a few mods (like a modded Evo) & I doubt that the GT3 driver will be too bothered!! If a GT3 losses against an Evo (regardless of spec) then I doubt that it's by much ...
I'll have a white GT3 pls
TX.

I love the brand new GT3 to be released later this year and wish I had the cash to buy one - but the one thing I hate about it is the sad sinking into the me too LED lights.
PS Evo = Oik
