Not a fault with Subaru IMO.

I have a MY00, 93,000miles, driven well, Serviced by Subaru for 4 years and then by one of the highest SQEP'd Engineers on SN ........ still running like a sewing machine

So far Darms appears to be allowed to spend the equivalent of :

1 x Jimmy Choo shoulder bag
A pair of Christian Louboutin stilettos
An Asprey necklace
A gold ladies Rolex

A crate of brown ale and two poodles.

With the exception, maybe, of the Ladies Rolex .... I am extremely concerned about your great knowledge on the Ladies most desirable items!!

Is there something you want to tell us?

1800 bucks for a set of rods Jeez what ARE they made of??

Ah well, you can have a set of APi brand steel rods for $1795

Seriously, ours are rated to beyond 500 hp and cost £450.00 + VAT and we are here in the UK with a warranty and a phone line that gets answered when you have a problem.

the company who did my rebuild use those rods in all there cars including there Nippon Challenge Subaru (which Won) and all other rally builds etc they do .The company is called Xspec motorsport based in hinckley. the price for the mrt rods is in Oz dollars works out to about £800.00 which i paid slightly less than that.

Thanks david if you know anymore please let us know

I've used David at API, BRILLIANT.
Very helpful, spent a lot of money with him, worth every penny twice over.
Tried xspec, he doesnt even answer the phone. When he could be bothered to reply he sends you a text. Then still wont answer the phone. Wont be trying again.
I live in Bedworth and its worth a trip or a call to David.
His knowledge is readily available and he answers the phone!!!

Glad to hear that it wasn't the OIl change after all

But, a new gearbox isn't going to be cheap?

There was never any question about oil change, that's always taken care of by the professionals mate

In hind sight im glad i rebuilt mine in the end,its now bulletproof

Ive got 500miles of running i left im more excited now than when i brought the car,are you finding it exciting breeding a new more powerful life back in to the impreza

Be warned once you start you cant stop

Ive spent twice as much on the car as i paid for it, in only six months

I love it lucky ive got an understanding wife

Darms your in good hands, is was with out mine for 3 weeks but it felt like 3 months

All will be great!"!!!

cheers nathan
