Oh dear, I am shocked and horrified that my young padawan cannot think of a suitable second date. The force is obviously waning and Shark Vader will have to impart some advice
Where did you go on the first date? If it was out, then you could astound her with your culinary skills (no, I'm not taking the pish. I have some recollection that you can cook), I would have thought a young lady would be impressed if a chap cooks a meal especially for her.
Ice skating does sound like a rather good idea, providing both of you can skate, and if she's up for it. If she cannot skate she might not wish to give it a shot. Obviously needs to be followed up with a nice meal somewhere warm and cozy.
Any Safari parks near you? If there is one nearby and she likes animals then perhaps a trip to the park and then a meal somewhere?

I'm watching this thread with interest, and any good ideas are going in the date bank. I'm up to date 3 with 4 on the horizon for this weekend. Done drinks, done dinner out, done cooking for her at my place - suggested lunch and dvd - I'm running out of meals of the day!
Honestly when I was single properly last (11 years ago), it wasnt this hard.
All the suggestions of a trip up the marmite motorway have been stored for now.

Some good suggestions......!!
If it's only your second date, you don't want to be out all day - maybe a game of bowling then dinner. You can then leave it up to her to suggest maybe going on for a drink....
Good Luck!!

Go for a drive to see some beautiful scenery, produce a wonderful picnic including wine and have an al fresco and 'spontaneous' lunch. Afterwards back to yours for coffee then maybe a bistro for dinner followed by drinks

Something fun. I drove out of town to the coast, ok its only skeggy but it was far better than being in town with nothing to do. Walk down the beach, Crazy Golf, Arcades (dont forget to let her win some games, even if its a driving one ) All goes down well, something different that not every guy will suggest about going to a bar somewhere Shows her you can be a bit different and fun. Guarenteed to get your ***** wet afterwards
The good thing about the above, you dont have to make conversation all day and look interesting to her, because you'll just be having a laugh at the stuff you are doing you'll already just appear interesting. Gets the akwardness out of the way if you are nervous in them sort of situations

Before you express your surprise that I even managed to get a first date - I know, you probably want proof - I'll let you know that the first date went well. 3 and a half hours of stories and laughing flew by.
Before you ask - no I don't have a photo at this time, but I'll reveal she is a nurse (), slim, petite and right up my street. She clearly desperate having been the one to suggest a second date with me, but what the hell, I can live with that as she has a fantastic rack
Anyway, I'm after a few ideas for a decent second date on a Sunday - obviously can't just get her hammered on a schoolnight ().
Take it away folks...

My second date with my now missus was one of her mates wedding, now I tell thee that was scary as ****, meeting the entire lot of them, friends and family all in one go. Still I got pissed and danced badly so fitted in fine.
I would opt for the bowling/ice skating ideas sound like a winner to me.

I would avoid paint balling and ice skating. If she hurts herself she will associate you with pain and that stage only comes after 7 years of living together
I would still play safe but not boring so no sitting in letting her hold your PS3 controller. Safari park, some old quaint village to wander about.
Should be something outside and in public just in case shes still worried you could be a mentalist.

Play safe - do the cinema bit then go for food. See a cultured or chick flick and demonstrate your sensitive side.
Bonus is if you do the film before the meal you will have at least one thing to talk about and break the ice.
Nicely full of food and vino and a bit loved up she'll be ready for the sack...
5t.

What would you like to do? Don't get so hung up on trying to impress her that you end up doing something you really hate otherwise it could cause problems for future dates/ relationship. Walking round a museum or going to the theatre would have me running for the hills thinking that is what we would be having to do all the time if we were an item.
All the fun stuff already suggested would work for me, that doesn't include taking it up the wrong 'un though.

"Would you like a ****?" If she says no, reply:
"Well, would you mind lying down while I have one?"
Serious answer, the beach is an A1 idea! If it gets late and you're hungry, offer to either take her for dinner, or tell her you'll cook for her. The latter option will never fail to impress, even if you're not an especially good cook.
Just a helpful hint, if she comes back to yours to let you cook her dinner don't ruin the mood by immediately, unzipping your flies, pointing at your **** and saying " Et voila. Bon appetite"

Indeed, take the direct approach:
"Would you like a ****?" If she says no, reply:
"Well, would you mind lying down while I have one?"

There are some classic replies, some of which have resulted in a coffee/monitor interface error. I'm going to take 15 mins and then have another read
I'm liking a few of the ideas so far.

Being a cop you should have access to a plentiful supply of the best gear and ****, it is called the evidence locker!
How about taking her/him to a comedy club?

After coffee of course
I'm going to have to think of some nice scenery... or it's a drive to Costa del Skeg

The culinary ability aspect was garnered from your various posts on here about cooking, unless I'm in some other dimension where you've mentioned cooking
Oh, and whatever you do end up doing, I hope you have a bladdy good time
