get well soon fella as said compo claim get to the hospital just to be safe, whiplash can take a while to come through an starts with headaches an sore head/neck all insurance companys HAVE to pay out on whiplash cos they cant di-prove it,
i had 2 people claim against my insurance when my driver supossedly hit there car up the back end on the clodra roundabout, no damage to car or bus but they still had a £8k payout

All foreign Insurers have a UK rep here in the UK so if they drag their feet chase them up start here -> UK Representatives of Foreign Insurers'
I know it sounds strange but you'll stand more chance as its a Personal Injury reportable Accident, because if your in the right Police will have done a report of the RTC so your insurer could call them as 'Expert Witnesses' should it end up being settled in court. Also if the other insurer feels they are liable they'll be keen to keep it out of court and pay up - Good Luck!
