The fact that this thread has had so many responses compared the following speaks volumes! It seems the BBS will never come of age!

I just went on the DVLA website (www.dvla-som.co.uk) and they've got S30DBY for £250, the poor mans S30OBY. I would buy it myself but I've already got 3 plates and only one car

I'm sure someone will snap it up, bit of a bargin

Cool

I can resist no longer...

I've just had my plates made up after my retention certificate arrived from the DVLC.

" S600 OOB "

It looks superb on the car, and although the spacing is totally legit, it works a treat!

I was searching for a number for my girlfriend, but was shocked to find that one for £250. Not too shocked as to ignore it though!

I've always wanted a decent number on my dream car.

I have RON 7 coming to me when this chap sells it on his merc in Berkshire.

I have also seen "WH00SH" on an F40 in Berks, now on an Aston Martin DB7.

The vote for the coolest one I have seen is MI6 on a VW van owned by a local electrician to me. Great plate.

The Isle Of Man residents seem to have a bit more freedom on picking their registrations - heres a few I've noticed:-

1 MAN (Audi S8) Governor Of IOM
R850MAN (Scooby RB5) R85-O-MAN
A205 MAN (Peugeot 205 GTi)
MAN51L (Range Rover) - seen a few years ago -- guess who was driving (Nige )

Also seen at the TT - 10MTT (Isle Of Man TT) on a classic bike.

Hi
There used to be a Porsche near me that had RAW 53 X, it reads RAWSEX and the other day I saw a plate that cleary said SEAN, I couldn't make out how it had been done cos I gobsmacked how clear it was!

My ex boss bought a cavalier from an action for £250 then sould the plate about £2500, it was FLA 511Y, reads FLASHY with a well placed black screw!

A car dealer I bought a car from had M 300 UPE on his M3 spaced to say M3 COUPE.
He got it for a couple of hundred quid from the DVLA and had had offers of several thousand for it.

The cool thing about living in America is that you have anything you want as long as its 7 letters/# or less and of course if no one else has it!! Coz I am from England my fellow yank friends call me Limey and after 12 years it kinda stuck. Sorry its not a scoob but before it got wrecked it would certainly give you guys a run for yer money!!! Volvo's big turbo T-5R. Cheers Limey. A future 2002 wrx owner ;o))
PS. Each state have their own plates, so like 49 other people could have the same plate as me. It gives you more options. I will have to be quick to get a good scoobie one though as there are already a bunch of 2.5RS cars around here! I cant speak for all states but in Florida it only costs $12 a year extra to have a personel plate. Thats why I have one coz my mates dont believe me that people back home pay thousands of pounds for private regs.

Resurrected an old thread!! Just so I can say I once saw TWA7Y on a 3dr Black Frontera Sport complete with blacked out windows and about 200 spotlights. This was in Manchester town centre early 90s. Couldn't believe my eyes
