The ecu logs everything, you go in for a warranty item and they can tell you spent last sunday pulling lateral 3g at the gps coordinates of the local indy circuit.

Some clever person ought to hack its system and get it to write false data into this magic log, either that or Nissan should pull their finger out and sell it with a manual box.

Totally agree If you can afford such an expensive car, you can afford to get things repaired / serviced out of warranty...

As for hacking the ECU, unless you do it yourself, then I'm sure that would cost a pretty penny too...

People are expecting way too much, the manufacturer states some simple rules, if you stick them, you get covered by warranty...simple

Just like apple, :lets build something sexy everyone wants, but place so many restrictions on using it, most owners will have to break T+C's to get any enjoyment out of it!

Sounds like Nissan are scared of them blowing up if tuned or tracked!

I'd spend an extra £10k and buy a used 997 turbo, thank you for asking. An extra £2k spent on a DMS remap and 550 BHP, easily flashed back to normal in case of a warranty claim
