I had 2 mk1's but neither anything special. But did build a full on mk2 RS2000, complete with grp 4 suspension, and grp 1 engine, built to run in the Fast Ford Vectra Challenge (vectra was the name of an alarm system not a vauxhall!)
**** that was a long time ago, but would still love to own another Rs escort if only for nostalgia, was super quick in 87/88, but would prob be a slow dog compared with current cars.

Bloody thread, has got me looking at old ford again.

Found this not sure I think it's brilliant or criminal?
