The missus has got a MY08 WRX . We`re a multi-Subaru family

Gutted for you both. I hope it all works out and you get to keep the car. Your threads and photos have brought the hatchback owners out of hiding, myself included. Thanks. I don't feel a subaru outcast anymore.

Good luck
Chris

Cheers Chris

We sat down and spoke about last night, we'll loose to much money letting the STI go. The 1st 3 full services and 1st MOT were included in deal and I've just paid for a life time tracker subscription.

So the misses car will go 1st. Guess then we'll see how good the STI will be as a family car! We have a 20 month old daughter and a new addition due 2nd October

misses current car

Glad to hear you are keeping the car.
It is fine as a family car. We had to use mine for 3weeks as the family car because our BMW was stuck in the garage. The BMW couldn't get out of the garage because of the snow. The BMW has got to go. I think an Audi Allroad is on the cards for the wife.

Silver Demon, sorry to hear your bad news mate, hope it works out for you and your Mrs. As for using the STi as a family car, meet my school taxi, shopping trolley, mother in laws personal taxi and general carrier of all kinds of crap-

At least i get to use it at weekends-

Oh and i get to clean it and put petrol in it!!!

From what I know the diesel is limited powerwise due to a dual mass flywheel, so big power sounds like a big disaster waiting to happen
