the route we have posted from M6 to M54 to A41 can be used. Just means a little detour when finally get to chester to join the designated route that the organisers have put. This is cause their route comes from the M56 and we won't be joining it. Sure we will be fine.

i've replied to your message with the reasons why we want you to approach the racecourse as we've asked.
there are 5 main roads into the town of Chester, the racecourse is located on one of them but only by approaching it from the west will we be able to get 800 odd cars off the road and parked up with minimal traffic queues/jams.
sorry folks but we need you to take the long way round Chester to get you all quickly into the racecourse.

Thanks for your reply Imy.. all makes sense. We need to take a slight detour as you`ve been scoobied suggests. It may make sense now to meet you`ve been scoobied in Wrexham. From Telford, up the A5 to Shrewsbury, Oswestry then Wrexham. Do you know any good places to meet on the A483 and then maybe go up the A550 to Queensferry??

i'll leave it between Hammer Man and you've been scoobied to sort out arrival route to the racecourse.
thanks for your understanding,
things will get easier once you guys are inside and parked up lol

hammer man,
I don't mind if want to meet at broxton roundabout or come up a483. 483 is closer for me but will still mean a slight detour around chester.
Will check best / shortest route before the 9th. Hopefully this sunday then can see traffic levels and will advise.
Don't want you all to come out of your way up a483 if a41 is better route. roadworks on a483 at present.

ok if m54 a5 and a483 is the route.
I will meet you at the gledrid roundabout. It is on the gobowen bypass after oswestry but before the chirk bypass. Petrol station at the roundabout has a truck stop and a company selling tents etc. Roundabout after the Lion Quays hotel which will be on your right.
not sure what time you lot will get there.

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong as I'm usless at directions but....
Leaving Telford at 0830 and following the A5 to Shrewsbury then the A483 to meet up with you've been scoobied at the Gledrin roundabout will take around 40 minutes.
Now if we head up the *** towards Drury then hang a right to the A494 will lead us onto the A548 Sealand Road for around 1000.
Autoroute suggests 1 hour 10 minutes for the whole journey but allow 20 minutes for traffic, should see this route fall into the original plan?
I'm hoping for good weather Saturday so I don't turn up with a filthy car!

I would suggest the following:
Jamiedream and mates leave Milton Keynes 7am.
Meet with Tom and Hammerman at M6 Corley services 8-08:10am.
Meet with G4R3TH and Lancewr1 at M54 Telford services 08:30-08:40am.
Meet with You've been scoobied at Gledrin Roundabout 09:20-09:30am.
Arrive Chester Racecourse 10:00-10:30am.

Welcome to join in but may be a bit of a trek for you as you are coming down from the North to the East of Chester and we are travelling up from the south to the West of Chester. Probably better off going round and straight onto the A548 and meeting up with everyone there? Or starting a convoy from the North?
I have taken a screenshot showing the route and stop points.
Not 100% sure on the detour (point 5) but you've been scoobied may be able to suggest a better alternative?

Hi all,
I have tried to get welsh scoobies to join the convoy but they seem to be having a seperate welsh scooby meet towards builth wells. Oh well I tried.
See you all at Gledrid roundabout. Will debate then which way to head in to Chester as on *** to Queensferry bypass it a bit of a pain but should be ok in the timeframe set out.

reading the presentation info again it seems to suggest we should try and avoid Chester city centre. Therefore looks like route towards drury corner on the A494 Queensferry bypass is the only real option. Was thinking of going via other routes but no good if we get stopped and told to turn around. Won't want to delay getting there too much as stands open at 10am and think the sealand industrial park and holding area will get quite busy. Earlier we get there the better.
see you all Sunday.

Just reminding all who are going on Sunday to have their parking permit ready or you may have a problem getting parked at the racecourse.. If anybody wants to exchange mobile phone numbers just in case of delays or problems, you can pm me your mobile and I will be happy to send back mine... cheers.
