Is Scoobynet not as active as it once was?

The ex-webclown ALMOST killed it off with his overbearing attitude and his favourites who could do no wrong.
IB are coming a close second
I mean..........a webby who drives an M5, not a Scoob and puts pics of it all over the front page, look at me! Look at me! I ask you.
Oh.....and it's almost moderated into the ground now. Come back old mod team, all is forgiven

What also comes up, is bring back the old mods. They are still here, and you guys don't always know who has done the moderating. But even when that information is open, doesn't mean a decision to do something was down to one single mod, more often than not, discussions are had before jumping in with both feet, and we are always watched over by someone who can quash any wrong decision any of us make. HTH.

You've been reading Tam's posts again, perv
I don't post or visit as often as I used too. I stopped completely late last year, for personal resons, and I don't know, I just can't seem to be bothered so much these days. I think it's partly the Corporal Frazer theme that permeates the forum. Site issues, credit crunch, speed cameras, redundancy, swine/bird flu......We're all dooomed!
Even some of the more frivolous posts get ground down by whingers, or just whither from lack of attention. We all need to try and cheer the **** up!

How about the ones that have a full trolley unloaded onto the conveyor, who realise they've forgotten one item that's right at the far side of the shop and **** off to get it! That pee's me off because it usually happens when I'm the next one in the queue.

It's bellends like this being able to post their sh*te with impunity that has finally killed this site off. People are turning away in droves as those graphs clearly show. 'ebbs and flows' my eye.

(and that's just a single day's 'contributions') There was a time when the other members could show their contempt by rating threads and individual posts and through banning troublemakers via the infraction system. People are powerless to do anything about it now so they just vote with their feet and don't bother. (In my case anyway)

Oh yes, that is a bad one. It's not too bad at my store (not a supermarket), so if someone does that, I just put their sale on hold and deal with the others in the queue, not so easy in the supermarket to do that though. Tbh, if I forgot something, I have enough respect for other people, that I'd just pay for my stuff, and leave the other thing, if I was desperate for it, I'd queue again for it.

Or they walk out of the shop as they don't want to pay for carrier bags.

Personally, I don't find it all that hard to just ignore stuff that I'm not interested in, or irritates me on here. Jeez, there are many, many threads on here that get on my nerves, even just looking at the title, so unless I need to look at it, I just steer clear, easy.

whoaa, easy fella! where did i say its old or new people that make this site what it is??
i said users of this site in general seem to be drifting off, new and old.
i'll give a newbie post as much time as an old member on here. infact a number of times i've posted on a newbie thread answering a question that's been asked many times over where no-one else has replied.

I think that nothing much has changed in the eight years that I've been here. People come and go, some times it's busy then it has a quiet phase, the people that disappear get replaced by a new lot and off goes the cycle again. Round and round and round and round
I can remember posts in 2001 stating that this place had gone to the dogs/got quiet/changed etc etc, people would moan that "all the good people have left" but then a new bunch would arrive and it would liven up again.
The one consistency has always been someone saying that 'Scoobynet has changed'
As for Muppets it was at its best in the very early days of this century, (2001 was a classic year), it's been going downhill ever since

Muppets used to be great, but not the same now. NSR is cool though, I do enjoy J4CKO's posts, he's funny

UB for Christ sakes man change the sodding record. YOU are far more annoying than he is!! 99.9% of your posts are complaining about Pete. FFS, go and seek help.

Without clicking on those, I'm willing to bet a years salary that those threads have been started by SSuP ( Pete )

Amen.
It's interesting that everyone who spent a significant amount of time in The Muppet Show! (now called "The Hutch! The all new, Muppet Show and Super Hutch combo. ScoobyNet's sub-community of comedy, warm hearted banter, silliness, and general fun!" - FFS!) has their own favourite time. I didn't join SN until 2003 but almost immediately gravitated to Muppets where I found a motley and hilarious cast of characters. So much fun was had in there between 2003 and 2007 that over 1 million posts were added to that section in that time (until the forcible ejection of the main posters by a webmaster determined to clean up Scoobynet's act before the big sell-off).
No-one posts there any more because the flow was abruptly cut off by the wholesale forcing out of a number of prolific posters. The natural progression of old posters leaving and new posters carrying on the tradition was severed, sadly. I think it will be for ever, because newcomers to Scoobynet don't even know what the section is for.

"Muppets" is dead, "NSR" is deader than it used to be and General is full of "Neds in their Sheds" .....
That fatty lobster fella from IB posts infrequently and mainly in reply to "it's knackered, please fix it" type posts, and everyone is being ripped off by Islamic Razi's!
Things are that bad even J4CKO's attempting to lighten the mood with jokes (I should highlight "attempting" )
This place needs a kick up the harris

The ousting of the Now infamous 'Clique' and the infractor-babble pretty much killed off the good banter in the Hutch/muppets/call-it-what-you-will
characters left, disillusioned by the lockdown by the NWO .
the place is now bereft of a soul.

Gordon Brown would be closer to reality than you..... I see nothing changes in the world then.
