I only really bother with scoobynet & a couple of Sunderland AFC message boards
All the invite emails from people bugging me to join likes of myspace & facebook pissed me off so i refused to join them.
Although I did once register a fake account on myspace to out a friend as Gay for a laugh.

Just to clear this up DaveGTT - the pic was photoshopped to try and enhance the colours. The after pic ended up looking like I have a big butt - which I don't. I found it funny so posted it up and of course people like you are STILL going on about it. So for reference, this is the Photoshopped pic:

How many other S-Netters have not signed up to ANY social networking sites, by which I think I mean things like Facebook, Friends Reunited, Bebo, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace etc. etc.
Even my 70 year old Auntie's now dabbling with Facebook!
I really have no inclination to post up my details and family on the internet for others to look at, despite repeated invitations to become "friends" or members. If I want to communicate with someone, I just use phone, text or e-mail.
NB: I don't mean common-interest web forums like this one.

Look I am not saying it's for geeks, in truth I don't know who it's for and that is kind of my point. I don't want imaginary friends and manage to keep in touch with my real ones quite easily without needing Facebook or the likes.The way I see it the difference between here and something like Facebook is that SN is focused on one interest ... Subarus (I know we all have other interests as well, but the main focus is Subaru - it is the site's raison d'etre) and I can choose how invasive of my privacy and time SN is whereas with Facebook that, from what I hear, is less so.
On SN I also don't have to put up with stupid things like pokes or whatever they are called and lots of internet personas claiming to want to be my friend. On SN everyone knows that everyone else thinks they are a ****

Theres a thread with pictures of many SN'ers for that very purpose of putting a face to a username. Why dont you revive it for the newer members

Hmmm Dave, you look surprisingly normal. Maybe just a tad boy band but still normalish.
Sorry to hear about the knee - mine's a bit dodgy too and my shoulder has been annoying since my mid teens. In fact I have physio tomorrow. Bu66er.
