Sorry Steve, but I've got to disagree with you on that one. The skill of the mapper is always the most important factor IMHO. The OS mapping software has access to all the tables you would need to map a car well.

lol - some people spend waaaay to much time infront of the screen to sift through peoples back-posts!
Nice looking car you have there and glad to see you're happy with the results.
Enjoy

Thats a fair comment, but why the snipe (obviously at Neil) in your original post? Why not word it differently, or were you looking for a raise from someone like myself.

Mr PJ, I have no issue with you and no issue with Kareena, other than the snipe mentioned above.

Whats the point in dragging the mapper into it when (again I'll state facts), the o.p. (thats Kareena) clearly stated (after 4 friggin' pages) that it was he that caused the car to bugger up by tweaking the Power FC.

Thats the only issue I'm raising, as I find it unfair to someone reading this that they may assume Kareena was totally faultless in the whole sharade and that the original mapper was 100% to blame.

Thats all I'm saying. Car forums are for getting along and hugs 'n' kisses etc, but they're also for fairness, which imho hasn't been shown here. If I get called an interfereing **** for sticking up for fairness, so be it, I can live with that.

End of.

Jag, read my reply, I'm not stirring anything.

And please, don;t send me any more pm's as the content could be construed as "stirring" too.

Look, read my 2 posts above otherwise whats the point in me repeating myself FFS. I've explained my stance on the situation and only took a screenshot incase the o.p. realised what he originally said. Bit extreme maybe, I'll give you that

Choc - And you have the cheek of telling me not to send you an any PMs?

You offering to send "screen shots" (do you really have that much time on your hands?) of what happened in the past - now that is really stirring!

Infact the PM I sent you which you imply could be stirring (nonsense) - here I quote:

"m8,

hope all is well with you. I think kareena has learnt his lesson in this one. No point in canning him anymore.

Jag "

To me my PM is trying to help calm things down and for you to back off - learn to to read and digest!

Ofcourse. despite my PM you still went ahead to attempt to crusify the bloke!

Enough said! This is his thread - if you haven't go anything decent to post then simlpy don't!

I 100% agree with what you've said here - we were pi$$ing ourselves on the last thread where, as you said, after 4 pages, the OP admits his buggrin about caused the problem.

There was no need for him, on this thread, to slate the first mapper again - if people are not happy it has been brought up again there is only one person to blame..............!

All I think C O B is trying to do is play fair, to show people both sides of the arguement.

Why is it on these forums people get so wrapped up in their own little ideas of things they can't allow others to express thier opinions? I for one don't think C O B is stirring, merely stating the points of the sequence of events.

I think the person at fault here is Kareenabay, who in my opinion has shown he really is a fool - anyone with half an ounce of common would have walked away after the firsat thread, but oh no, he has to come back for more, backstabbing as he goes.

Well I'm pleased he is happy with his car - lets hope he doesn't start poking about under the bonnet again.....................................

It does matter actually. Why should a mapper get a bad name for something which isn't his fault?

Choc -

It seems you tend to get caught up so many controversial threads??

Perhaps you should spend more time looking for a job rather than tracking through people's posts in the past and causing trouble. With some money you might then be able to afford to buy a scoob!

Most who will read this thread can see your aim was to ignite trouble more than anything else.

For someone who does not even own or drive a scoob should you really be on here if your aim is to be so bitter? As for YSPCD? Is that similar to NSPCA?

Grow the **** up and stop causing trouble! Seems like you have suddenly gone off ranting on about the OP?!

i think this thread needs closing and we should have a room marked "open arguments" for people.

if i where jgm i'd be very un-impressed that a thread that started telling everybody he had done a good job with his mapping (getting him potential for new business) has turned to this.

i never have bad words to say about anybody because everyone makes mistakes i just think it's a real shame people just can't get along.

choc if i could offer you some free advice from an outsider (its freindly not agressive) you are going to get yourself the wrong reputation with people. firstly you start putting neg stuff about kareenababy now on the very same thread you are putting neg stuff about jp4. it's a bit immature to do it openly if you are in full possesion of the fact (which i presume you are by your posts) then maybee you should do it via private pm.

i always use this type of thread to learn new things and frankly i don't want to be reading all this just the good stuff

lets all chill !

Are you guys really that dumb?...

It was 'KareenaBaby' who reignited this whole issue AGAIN (Not COB) with his sly remarks in the first post, as if one thread wasn't enough.... jeeez!

It was righteous of COB to speak for Neil's behalf.. and is a good man for doing so!

The comment from JP4 about COB needing to find a job and not being able to afford a scoob is something I would expect from kids in Primary School... Is it really necessary to act like a 10yr old fool to make a point that has zero relevance?....

FFS, i just cant stand it when forums get so political and bitchy.

quite a few years back i was a member of a American car forum, slowly but surely that forum went down hill as more and more people started bitching and moaning about each other until eventually the forum closed.

it pi$$es me of when you see new members posting new threads requesting help or advice and they barely even get a sentence in reply, and yet an opportunity to bitch and moan brings everybody out of the wood work.

lets just take a step back and remember why we post here in the first place....a common love of scoobies.

bottom line is, this is playground B.S and will eventually kill this community.

any way rant over

and yes, simon is a top bloke

Causing trouble?

"so that you dont have issues like me with unreliable people who dont know what they are doing."

So you think it's fair to have the above written about a mapper on a forum frequented by many of his customers when the problems encountered by the thread starter are probably their own doing?

I think CoB was only trying to share his opinion(which he's entitled to do on a public forum) of what is fair. The remark at the start of this thread is the equivalent of me going out and buying Goodyear Eagle F1's, then cutting my own tread in them and blaming Goodyear because they no longer grip well in the wet.

simon - well done mate good job

kay - was your car ok before you messed with the settings?

ki8lla - your car looks mean bro

some of you need to relise kays car is running fine and we as his scooby fellow members should be happy for him. he shared an experience with us thats what forums are all about.

YSPCD or h.i.v or whatever you want to call it doesnt really sound too friendly btw everyone is ganging up against certain members cause he voiced an opinion. scoobynet is a forum for people to advice and help each other make friends not stir **** up. so lets not take the polish of it well done simon and kay hope you enjoy your car bro.

Just read some of this thread, and unfortunately it is all sour and bitter. I'm sure the OP gave Neil a personal apology so i can't really see what relelvance more than 1 line would have been on SN and why you lot keep moaning.

OP has learnt his lesson, did non of you ever make mistakes, FFS we all make mistakes. I can also assume that the OP K is ashamed of what he started and has resolved matters with Neil himself, without the childish interference from some on here.

So as said earlier if you got nowt decent to say, don't say it, and stop putting fuel on the fire......my 2p's worth about peoples behaviour.

K - Good to see that the car is now sorted and your enjoying the use of it.

(I suggest the thread is closed!!!!!!! by Mods before it spirals out of control)

Killer - Front on that looks good you got that engine in there then?

Banny - Maybe you should consider selling some of those fronts you have, if there's any thing good in that little collection just let me know

WORRY ABOUT THE SWINE FLU IF YOU GOT NOTHING ELSE TO WORRY ABOUT!!

Boys,
This is what forums are all about !!!!!!
Keyboard warriors and strong points of view.
The above will not bring SN down, it's what makes it what it is.
Imagine a forum where it's jolly hocky sticks and where all up each others *****.
God how depressing that would be.
Keep up the good work chaps.

What a complete and utter farce. Scnet has really hit a new low. Its to be expected on public forums though, freedom of speach and differing opinions. I'm no angel and get wound up at times, but this is STILL A FOOKIN FARCE THOUGH.
I think it would be better locked and deleted, along with the original thread.

Kareena,
