If you get the STi RA, you get forged internals as well as the cdb on the early models

That's cool i need the opinions as i do see many just used as track cars

Out of curiosity because you've changed the gearbox do you still the DCCD or does the gearbox change remove it?

The V1 and V2 didnt have forged internals as far as i was aware it was V3 onwards and that was only forged pistons.

Sorry, i've just a had a bit of research, and they had forged pistons only, not rods.

stop being a tart there fine for every day use joking aside i use mine as my every day car and have done over 27k in two years tuned to over 420hp the only thing that can be a pain is the clutch buts thats only because of my state of tune, go for it you will never look back! one of the best cars i've had and i've had a few! good luck

I stand corrected. The V2 forged pistons "are big ugly mothers"(David@API's words) and are not like the more modern design of V3-V7

Hi i have a 94 closed deck RA and from the info i have found it also has forged internals ??

I think only the STi RA had the forged pistons, not the WRX RA.
