Personally due to the rarity of these cars I'm not doing anything cosmetic to mine other than wheels and flaps. I'll be getting an FMIC soon but no big spoilers or P1 lips for me.

Well done
Wheels are a cert. Where did u get yours mapped an what map was it? Was it expensive. Thanks

I also say leave it alone. My RA still looks as it did when if left the factory apart from the wheels. Ive no interest in changing to a facelift bumper, splitters or adding any kind of skirts, its the understated look that ive tried to keep.

LOL nice car mate

I enquired about the car myself last week and umd and rrrd about going to look at it myself, lucky 4 u i didnt cus id be the new owner

I like the aggressive look of the classics (p1,22b etc) but youve bought an RA and its got the styling characteristics for a reason so id personally keep it as it is, how it should be. (the wheels r naf though, agreed)

Your car is a lovely example if you change things be gentle with it

This is my ra really simple but still quite aggressive imho

do as little as possible and you will get a good result

this it what is was like when i brought it,not much changed apart from grill fog covers and 4k forged rebuild

thanks nathan

Beat ya It truly is a beautiful car and yes the wheels are naf!! I'm going back to gold I think. Having trouble getting used to the lack of central locking though!!

i agree change wheels. personally i wouldnt add no kits or splitters as its a ra but i have face lifted my early ra just out ov prefrence
here few pics she having a engine swap at mo so cooler isnt on in first couple pics but u get the idea

other than the morretts and face lift the body is std just a decent set ov wheels and a lowered a fair bit on coilovers gives me the look i want

new grill not fitted in these pics

Looks in really good nick.

Don't go sticking extra weight on a lightweight model. Perhaps some lightweight 17"s and new suspension and I think you'll be nicely surprised

Look at the old Group A Impreza 555 - just lowish on big (18s) wheels and agressive as ****

The map was on the car when I bought it. I believe it was Bob Rawle at BRD. Its ECUTEK mapping and with the VF29 I guess its between 310 - 320????? I think its about 6-800 or thereabouts.

I've got 18" wheels on mine which I want to change for white 17s. Simtek ECU with ALS, FMIC and either stick with the VF29 or maybe a VF35. Some suspension mods (its got ohlins shocks, eibach springs and ALK) and thats about all it will need.

Anything else will just be preservation. I'd like to strip the underneath completely, clean, powdercoat and refit.

I'll jump on the "Keep it Standard" band wagon....looks like an awsome standard car- I'd do my best to keep it as original as possible (that's what I do with mine ) with the exception of the wheels- it could do with some original gold wheels but forget about lowering it/body parts etc....

Every other Scooby on the road has some kind of tat hanging from it- standard ones are far better looking IHMO!

Other than that- congrats on a tidy motor and enjoy!
