Hi
I have a catback system been on my car for 2 months.
Its 2.5" so no need for a remap.
Straight through center pipe and still quad exit as PPP pipe but each set has its own silencer so its a much nicer noise and breathes easier.
Best sounding Subaru pipe Ive heard and if I still had my car would still be on it!!
Have a butchers on the Haywood and Scott site for some sound files.
It is pretty loud but in a good way ;-)
Offers please cost me £750 ish cant remember only a few months back so sensible offers please.
I have a part worn Dunlop tyre too if anyone needs one got loads of tread on it
Arron.

I won't be extending the warranty, i can imagine the cost being ridiculous and the cover minimal (plus going from recent reports if the suspension started knocking they'd want pics of your heater control positions, stereo volume level, seat back adjustment and the colour of your underpants... to try to get out of approving the claim).
Heated seats, since i changed to my old M3 in 2008 i can say i wouldn't want another car without them. They were essential in sub zero conditions in the M due to the leather but even in the hatch i love them on cold mornings. By the time i've got the car out of the garage and locked up to leave they are lovely and warm

Waiting for a bit more info on the RS3 then sadly my Subaru days will be coming to an end.
Still feel quite bitter to be honest about all that has gone on with the engine failures. Would have loved to be continuing my 8 year love affair but they just don't deserve the buisness

Yes they are standard on my euro car, controller is on the centre consol near the back, mine has the standard seats so think you could fit to these, not sure on the lovely recaros though.

yes i was thinking the same as you but i think that this car is going to cost a fortune as its an audi forst then a RS next, £40k or more I'm thinking
some super pics here: http://www.desktopmachine.com/cars/7-Audi wallpapers.html?t=
With a 0 to 62mph time of just 4.6 seconds, quattro all-wheel drive and a sporty 7 speed S tronic transmission
TFSI turbocharging technology make a compact power plant that develops its torque – a punchy 450 Nm – from just 1,600 rpm, which is barely above idle. And it keeps delivering all the way up to 5,300 rpm. Such massive reserves of torque means blistering acceleration can be turned on like a tap in any gear - at virtually any speed - making overtaking truly effortless.
think it will give the STI an embarassing time

I am also looking at the RS3. I need 4wd for the Highlands, we currently have about 5-6 inches of snow. I had been thinking about a BMW but the winter up here reminds why I can't.
I have been looking at a new S4 with 20" wheels but I will probably wait for the RS3. Had still considered an RS4 but all the ones I have seen look very tired.
I will be sad to see the Subaru go but the way they deal with the engine failures is awful. I posted a bit on the Subaru UK facebook page and the way they responded was completely unacceptable.
A lot of people still hate the hatchback but I love it and will miss it. I still have it for another 4 months
I will also miss feeling a part of this thread.

Wish my choices were that simple. I'm in 2 minds on to what to do with mine.
My ideal car would be an A3 with 335d powerplant and Scoob drive train. Alas that doesnt exist.
So
Opt 1) keep it, and get turn it into a Wrx GT / Type 20D type thing
Opt 2) A3 TDi quattro
Opt 3) see what the MY12 WRXD is like.

I really don't have a clue what to go for next, normally I'd be getting shot of mine in about 12/15 months and getting something a year old so I don't have that initial hit, that means a car that is on sale about now and there is nothing that grabs me at all.
Few options that I have considered but ruled out for various reasons:
911/996, too old for my price range + more importantly too small.
GTR, to expensive to run.
RS4, running cost and again too old for what I want to pay.
Bit more sensible
New STI saloon, too expensive and not as practical as the hatch.
Evo 10, no matter how hard I try to like them I just cannot bring myself to buy one.
Focus RS, could get a 2010/11 plate one but the reasons I got the STI over this originally still exist.
Range/X5/Landy, like but could not live with day to day.
Current Shape M3, however Mrs hates BMW's.
At the moment I'm hanging onto the hope I like the new impreza and keeping mine a little longer so I can have one of these!
or
Wait for the Mk3 Focus RS?
Quite like the S3 but will be more than I want (am allowed) to spend and never really been a Audi/VAG guy.
I can really see myself still with the hatch in 2 years time, is that a bad thing though?

ditto all this
if the hatch behaves well then I will have no quarms on keeping it as I said before - its been my favourite car I've owned to date
I still have people staring at it with the look of "wtf car is that?!?!"
who knows, in 2 years tim I may have moved to Kent and no longer need 2 cars so the hatch will have gone and booting around in the wifes tdci zetec focus which has plenty of power, just not the grip!!!!

gtr 35 - insurance companies are running to the hills and hiding from owners of these - it may be labelled as a super car killer at a sensible price but thats where it ends, servicing is super car money and so are any repairs, £8k for some pads and discs, £7k for a new ecu, bumper, bonnet sensors cos some old granny kicked the front bumper!!!

how are you lot coping with the snow
what settings with the sti is it i and pos i never got a book with mine
does anyone know were to get one
and what does that triangle thing mean that comes on the dash
i find mine good in the snow driving sensibly and i have just got new tyres
michelin 3 at a good price from cosco last month so plenty of tread even though they are not winter tyres
ive had it 2 month 08 model hatchsti and the best car i have ever owned
i had the wagon 2 litre last and there is no comparison

snow settings for mine are diff two bars on the dash s# vdc and traction off and give it welly hahaha it goes really well never been stuck yet.
the gtr running costs arnt bad from what Ive seen, Litchfields service shcedule is very reasonable. Insurance for me is £50 more than the hatch. so I'm not sure where these crazy quotes have come from

Grrr car got run into tonight whilst parked outside my house, looks like rear bumper & light unit but daylight could reveal more damage.
I was so careful driving in the poor icy / snowy conditions then so hiogj0fzhjb does this :-(

Looks like it needs a new light cluster and rear bumper. Will not know full until the snow melts a little, we have about 30cm of laying snow here.
