So your still on the hunt for a hatch then!
Depends really what you are after, assuming the 320r is a Saloon then apart from the shape there is not a huge amount of difference between that and the 330s, same seats, radio etc, oh and 10bhp, 330 power upgrade developed by Prodive where the 320 is by Subaru, both with UK Warranty.
Spec C, different car IMHO, not so many luxuries and not sure about Warranty, think if its a Litchfield one then you get 2 years but with them rather than your local dealer so if you are not close then not so good. This is more track focused due to it being lighter but more than acceptable on the road.
Serously thought about buying a spec C myself a few months back but decided against it as I wanted the luxuries more than the better handling etc, however I do still keeping thinking that I should have one, its an itch that needs to be scratched.

Not sure I like the saloon, looks like an Avensis. Agree with the Spec C points Arron and have the Exige so don't really want two of a kind. Like you I like the little luxuries. The question is then a newish 330s is going to cost between 22 and 25k where as the new monster is 33k. Is the spec c suspension worth the difference? Also guessing the bottom is going to fall out of these soon as well with £2 petrol on the horizon making them difficult to sell on with their 400+ tax compared to the Golf R?

[QUOTE=juggers;10094119]The newhatch Spec c is far from rough, it's nothing like the hawkeye spec c. Somehow it retains the same refinement as any standard hatch STI yet has bags more performance. This is why It took me a while to realise it's potential as I originally felt the hatch spec c had lost it's core DNA of rawness and performance. I have since come to learn that they have not lost any performance atall infact I think the hatch spec c is a much better handling car then the hawk spec c.
It's nothing like an Exige there about as raw as you can get!!!

The Exige isn't as raw as it use to be it even has a useless cup holder now! I think like Aaron said I might miss my luxury toys in the Spec C as it would be my daily drive and not the weekend toy. Back to the thinking board........

Subaru has introduced the new Impreza WRX STI A-Line edition and, like an old friend who checks in with you from time to time, it's always nice to hear from Subaru, isn't it?
The A-Line is a more accessible, comfy version of the WRX STI meant to attract more distinguishing and less dedicated customers to Subaru. It features Subaru's 2.5 liter Boxer engine, coupled with a 5-speed automatictransmission trademarked by Subaru as the SPORTSHIFT.
Comfort comes by way of an 8-directional electronically adjustable driver's seat with optional leather seats and leather trim on the inner door paneling highlighted with silver stitching. A new color, "Satin White Pearl", is also made available in the A-Line.
But this WRX STI A-Line's still got the boogie. That 2.5 liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine comes with 300 hp and 350 Nm of torque. A single scroll turbocharger helps the engine produce a steady stream of torque within a mid-rev to high-rev range.
And there is lots of technology to keep this Subaru humming with speed and comfort. A Downshifting Blipping Control allows the automatic transmission to have a quick chat with the engine management system to increase enginespeed while downshifting gears in order to have as smooth a shift as possible.
The VTD (Variable Torque Distribution) AWD system provides electronic control of torque distribution between the rear and front axles dependent on driving conditions to maintain a keen sense of balance ontheroad for this WRX STI.
There's also a Tumble Generation Valve that controls air intake for maximum combustion efficiency under the hood.

On another note I currently have a Police hatch in the workshop with headgasket failure on both sides. so I decided to do a touch of digging on the subject of pistons. Seems the police car has the std pistons fitted much to my amazement and after 49,000 miles theres not a scratch on them. but however after further digging it had been fitted with a different ecu at subaru, but this could be to do with the extra equipment on board.
And one more thing, After a meeting with my boss today I will be starting up my own motorsport devision within the company under my trading name at a more competitive price to the dealer prices.
