If i want a set of alloys/tyres for the WINTER, will any subaru impreza alloy fit the 330s?
As thinking my GT2 19"s are a bit good to be used with snow/ice/road salt.
So am I looking at only the 2007-on alloys.. ie: Std 17" or 330s 18"s?

I got a set of 4 17" STi hatch with tyres for £400, were meant to be delivery mileage only but 2 had been well used ( big chunks out of rim, tyres half worn ) and got them changed for more like new ones by them.
TEG near Lancaster, their details any use to you? Don't think they ship! They build rally cars, these come off their donor cars, they aren't a shop, dealer, supplier in the real sense.

I think 17"s might be the size to go for over winter.
I'll look round see if I can pick up a set of the STi 17s 2nd hand. Best condition possible, don't want to be doing a full refurb, wouldn't mind spraying them black though

Salsa I have a full set of std STI 17" PCD 114.5 alloys shod with Toyo Snowprox S952 in the garage. Tyres have only done one season, hardly any wear. Alloys were removed from the car at pdi & have only done 3k mls with the winter rubber when they were on my STI last winter Jan-March. They made an unbelievable difference to traction in cold, wet or freezing / snow conditions.
Was thinking of putting them up for sale as I had to trade in my 09STI in summer (bigger tribe wouldn't fit in & couldn't risk potential monster £pend in the event of ringland bang). Bought a legacy which has PCD100 so I can't re-use my winter wheels
Let me know if you're interested & I'll post pics etc

I must say, that does look good.
could look good without the lettering.
Goes back to the old days of RS Tubrbo with the Tiger stripe graphics
will you do it then?

Given my skating antics last winter, if the price is right I'll be having them - assuming they're still available of course!
Thinking about it, if this comes off then my standard wheels will be available Sparkey.
Cheers,
Neil

Anyone got the updated geo setting tollerances please?
cars going to have the alignment done next week.
Oh and for WRX owners, 225/45/17 sessantas fit perfectly on the standard rims. You wouldn't even notice the their an inch wider.

Won on Friday night at 8:07.. picked up friday night at 9:30pm!!! the guy lived 5mins from me.. how freeky is that??
the guy had bought a Hatch and had gold OZ 18"s fitted from new.. so had the 17"s and kept in his garage.
Now was the time for him to get rid.
So.... barnd new STi 17"s + Never been used at all Dunlop 235/45/17 tyres.
Starting bid was £250... I won at £339
I'm thinking of going more this colour...

Been looking at your Cusco graphics, I know why it works, its......... an advanced version of the gobstopper 2 but you need black, white or red wheels to carry it off.

Just replaced my "R" with one that's painted mica red to match the bits and bob's under the bonnet and a closer match to the STi badge.

Hi,
not a thread hijack just a heads up on our new design drop in pistons for the 2.5 engines.
As the new hatchbacks are now coming out of warranty people may be wanting to tune them, problem is even in standard form the 2,5 engines suffer from piston land failure at an alarming rate.
It first shows up with and increase in oil consumption, if not caught in time, by having a leak-down test, not a compression test, a leak-down test, it will eventually lead to cylinder walls damage.
There are many after-market forged pistons available but they all use new piston rings, this means a complete engine strip down, re bore and hone to suit with a 1000 mile running in period and two oil changes before any tuning can be done, not ideal and very expensive.
We at the clinic have just launched our new drop in pistons for the 2.5's, these run the original rings and clearances therefore no running in required or full engine strip, which means a drive in drive out price of just £2500.00 future proofs your 2.5 ready to accept further mods, this also applies to both WRX and STI as they run the same "hyperutectic" pistons.
all prices + vat.
cheers
