Question for wrx owners (pretty sure this won't affect the STI's)
Right I've had my car a week and have come to the conclusion that the springs on my car are made from chocolate or liquarice lol. If I'm in. The car myself the handelings ok'ish, if the wife and 2 kids are in the car the car drops about an inch and handles like barge with a broken rudder lol

How the hell do I fix this? Is it just a case of new springs and a geometry set up or is it more in depth?

My last car had a adjustable koni kit and was fully poly bushed! It handled well enough but it was not a nice car to live with so I don't want to make my wrx the same! Just looking for less body roll but still comfy

Cheers

PPP backbox, deres centre and second cat removed gives a nice volume and rumble and is hardly noticable in the car, to a point where whenever I drive I want a H&S, then when my wife drops me off and pulls away I like just what I have!

The suspension set up on the hatch is much softer than on my previous hawkeye. Much easier to live with day to day. I suffer less understeer and find i can corner at a greater speed on turn in, apex and exit. I am sure it can be vastly improved if modded though. I have no children to try out as balast.

Just 2 1/2" No need for 3" on the hatch the bends are better formed on mine than a 3" system so causes no restrictions, Something Andy F mentioned when Mapping it

No the hayward & scott wont mate up to the original center.

Has anyone (Rob) fitted new drop links on the front of the hatch, I have opted for the Whiteline adjustable items, assume its:

Undertray off
Remove
Set new links to match existing length of oe items
replace and torque up

The Whiteline pictures show washers but after speaking with Tim at Scoobyparts it seems the new version do not require these and they are old instructions?

Finally, ideally jack car up on both sides so I can fit both at once, will use car jack for one side with an axel stand next to it (just in case) but where on the other side can I place either a trolly jack or axcel stand, dont really want to put on the sill as my experience they just bend??

Cheers
Arron

If your trolley jack is low enough profile you can jack from the front centre jack point. If not, drive the front wheels onto a couple of bits of wood to get a bit of extra clearance and then jack. Front centre jack point is just at the rear of the undertray and in the centre obviously.

Axle stands can be placed behind the lip at the points where the standard jack fits over as this area is reinforced (there're a couple of vertical lines on the lip to show correct jack placement). In fact if you look at the standard jack fitment, it doesn't lift by the lip, it's actually bearing on the area described.

And drop links are supposed to be torqued with the wheels on the ground and the suspension loaded.

HTH, Neil
