That's the BasonR one I had on my old hatch, nice size and a little more aggressive than the standard STI one, I've had two from America, the STI rep was good and the finish was spot on, this I was pretty disappointed as it had quite a few moulding marks and the colour was patchy, I had to wet and dry it smooth and follow with a coat of plastidip, end result was really good but a bit of hassle.

I'm not a policeman, but looking at those pictures, they look like they're cars with UK numberplates... is that because they are available in the UK?

Jme don't forget that there will be importing taxes to be paid on top of the sale price and delivery. Unfortunately 99% of my mods have come from the states or Japan as the hatch and onwards has not had the success of previous models and very few people in the UK sell aftermarket parts and if they do its not cheap

The alloys in the pic are actually anthracite, a little darker than the standard colour. I will probably paint them white or gold for next winter.
I've not enjoyed the car this much through summer!

Good searching.
Yes that is the two of them, first link is the most recent one I had that needed prepping. The second is their STI replica called the V-Limited and was a nice well fitting piece of kit.

Sorry to remind you guys that have experianced piston failure of painful experiances.
What were the symptoms, and what did it sound like? Also did it go away when warm?
For the last couple of weeks my wrxd sounds like a real bag of spanners when cold, and I'm starting to get scared. Its getting a minor service in a couple of weeks, but would like to know if I need to start panicing now.
Its still pulling away fine and all the power seems to be there. I'm keeping an eye on oil levels, but there is a trace of oil in the crank case breather pipe. Although I'm not sure if thats entirely normal. A friend followed be back from work the other day and no smoke was seen from the tail pipe, only the usual soot when a derv boots it.
Cheers
Simon

the noise your experiencing at a guess is to do with the fuel not igniting correctly at cold temperatures.
I'd get the heaterplugs checked out as these can fail & do fail very often, & when cold and accelerating you experience diesel knock. or worst case scenario is the SCV on the fuel pump is playing up and needs changing along with the updated EGR valve.
I have one boxer diesel in at the moment with the engine out of it due to excessive oil consumption 2 litres every 500 miles blowing through the breather into the turbo system, Very lucky it didnt rev up and blow

yours is a euro 4 engine so the plugs will be a cheaper than the euro 5 as they are ceramic and cost a flaming fortune.
on cold start even though your heater plug lamp has gone out, whilst the engine runs stationary they still are working for 5 mins, as soon as you go over 10kmh they extinguish

The HYCOTE stuff is very good, the clear lacquer is what you wantto finish off the sprayed alloys. It sprays really nicely too
