Ride height is adjustable and is independent from spring preload & yes a hell of allot tighter. You'd also benefit from the powerflex subframe bush inserts to stop the rear of the car floating.

Curious to know, obviously we don't buy and run these cars for the amazing mpg but how many miles do you guys get out of a tank. Since the remap running around 400/380 I get aabout 180 miles out of the tank before the light of one's on.
This sound right, just I'm sure I got better results out of my built 2.0 @485/430

Totally off topic
What are the symptoms of a duff wheel bearing on the hatch.
I noticed an unusual sound coming from the passenger front at the weekend - kind of sounds like it might be the wheel bearing (droning).
However, whilst trundling along on traffic (this is all after a long drive by the way - approx 100 miles) I noticed a sound like a faint squeal, when I touched the brake with my left foot it disappeared for a bit.
Doesn't seem to be any play in the wheel.

Has anyone on the thread ever remover the resonator from the standard exhaust? Is it worth doing for now before buying a new exhaust system in the future?

For improved front end I'd really recommend this:
eBay item number 360568147617
The h brace hugely tightens the front end up and makes the steering feel more weighty.

The rear whiteline one was noticeable. Front whiteline one I fitted a month later and didn't notice anything.

Yep!
I was answering Urban's question re wheel bearing noise, my Subaru dealer changed the bearings once, was goingto do them again ( all in first few months from new ) when we found it was the really noisy Dunlops!
Goodyear F1 asyms are way better!

Keep an eye out. The seller often does auctions starting at 99p. I won mine at £56. Be aware that you're meant to take off the diff undertray to fit this. I didn't. I bent my tray to force it on but on cold starts when everything is a bit more rattly the tray vibrates against the brace. Only for a couple of minutes then you'd never know. But it can be fitted with it left on if you force it

I've re fitted my 19" GT2's this weekend and tomorrow I get the Prodrive Eibachs springs fitted. So I've taken a few pix on how the car sits on Std Springs, then I'll get shots once the Prodrive/Eibachs fitted.
what do you think now I'm back off the 17" winter alloys

Them wheels are wicked. Really like them on the white hatch. I fitted Tein springs on my wrx hatch. -40 front -35 rear over the past 2 months the sag on the rear spring is ridiculous. They have gone from 13" to wheel centre to 12.5" to wheel centre. Next I would fit coilovers for deffo.

[QUOTE=Abx;11062417]Yes, I removed it on my hatch as back in 2009 no one did a deres pipe that would fit with the standard backboxes, combined with a ppp backbox it gave a really nice tone.
Cheers

In fairness I am - the car is on set two.
The first set were replaced under warranty at 7K - they began to crack very badly basically.
But this is a new noise, I guess it could very well be tyre noise?
You think its the tyres going off?
