fog light film application 'HOW TO GUIDE'
Thought it might look quite good and also give a bit of protection if a stone hits the lens, reduces the risk of broken glass falling out.
To start with I got the 'yellow' film and cut it to the size of my fog lights using a jam tart cutter from our kitchen!!
Then whip off the fog light trim and clean the fog light glass.
spray a fit of soapy water to the fog light glass and also the sticky back of the light film.
apply the yellow film
smooth out and dry off the film, use a vinyl applicator and your fiingers to mold to over the lens
once securely stuck, remove the protective film from the front
clean all around the fog light and re fit trim
jobs a good un

Got a few items for sale that might be of interest to some hatch owners, or maybe not - please take a look anyway!...

Has anyone fitted new springs themselves? If so, is it difficult or is it just a case of undoing the bolts, removing the struts, compressing the springs then undoing the top bit? then getting the geometry done...I'm probably making it sound easier than it is?
any advice would be greatly appreciated as ever.

As above, fitted ppp springs on the hatch and all was ok, iirc the hardest part was removing the strut on the rear as in a garage I struggled to compress it enough to get it away from the lower arm, a bit if force got it in the end and forcing the lower arm down, another set of hands and would have been much easier, one to push the lower arm down and one to manipulate the strut out.
Also the top nuts were a bit tricky to undo unless you have a special tool, I struggled with what I had but was a pita, I think you needed a socket that you could put an allen key through wilst it was fitted if that makes sense!

Front struts need a pass through socket or ringspanner + allen key to undo the top nut.
Always lift both sides together to take the load off of the ARB to make removing the struts easy.
