Not a fan of the SC range, I prefer the Garrett from lateral, whilst some argue the fitting is a bit tricky its a hell of a piece of kit, I know as I have one on mine

You'll also need ISO adapter to connect the wires.

There is a genuine Subaru JDM facia you could get instead of the car audio direct one... But that's approx £80.
Thanks for that info, where can I get a ISO Adaptor? I'm not sure what I'm actually looking for

I think I'm using this one: you can then use steering controls if you have them on your car, also your stereo needs to support this feature.

the ProR (blue springs) don't fit unless you have the spec-c suspension.
What springs will give me the biggest drop on my 330s?
I can't afford to go the coilover route at the moment plus I want to see what it's actually like with just springs.

I have no idea, I have read that a bigger drop doesn't give better handling on the sti/330s.
Hence why I went for the Prodrive/Eibach springs that are designed and suited to out car.

My car does handle better than the std springs.

and where did you pick up that nugget ??

Salsa's is a 330s - no lowering springs hence he fitted the prodrive/eibachs

For reference - the differences between a std STi hatch and the 330s version

Guys I'm possibly on the look out for a sti hatch as i need something a little more practical now that I'm going to be taking my daughter to nursery. I'm obviously aware about the engine issues, spoke to Rob a little while back, my question is whats the paint work like on the hatches, more so red cars as i have my eye on a particular car which is a nice spec and in the right price range.

Cheers

Yeah, that's the one, I'm busy for a couple of weeks so if i miss it, its not the end of the world, it just looks a nice spec for the money. With regard too the paint work is its still painted on thin ans susceptible to stone chips?

someone on Midlands scoobies rang about it.. salesman messed them about by saying they had a buyer for it, then next day rang and said they could come and see it, he went to see it and said it wasn't in very good condition body/paint work wise, also wouldn't do a deal for cash. so he walked away and bought the Blue STi from Sara *** cars that had a FMI and re map done by Richard at Tractive Solutions at Melton Mobray (he used to be the ex WRC engineer and also worked at TSL.. a few years ago)

regarding the Red one, I think Kev at ScoobyClinic knows the car too!!!

if you get on www.m-soc.com and register you will see the thread about buying a sti hatch, its about 7 pages long, with some links to cars that were/are for sale local to Derby/Nottm etc

thats funny because every review i have read has clearly stated that the 330s comes with prodrive springs they mine def did so why would they state in all these reviews that it has prodrive springs if they are the same as the normal sti i dont get it

I imagine as the car sent out to reporters had the 'optional' springs fitted!

Just like any new cars on sale, the one you see in the showroom has all the option boxes ticked.

http://www.topgear.com/uk/subaru/wrx-sti/road-test/330s

http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evol...a_wrx_sti.html

http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/li...-28533925.html

all three of these have referance to the 330s having stiffer (maybe not lower) prodrive springs to the standard sti and i know for a fact my 330s has black prodrive springs on it maybe they are not lower but must be diffrent and im sure it even said this on the offical subaru web site
