these were taken off my 330s
no sign of any PRODRIVE wording on them as an upgrade over std.
so what I had fitted DOES have PRODRIVE writen on them.
Also when I rang and spoke the dealer about uprading my springs on the 330s to the BLUE ProR spings, they then rang Subaru/ProR to see if they'd fit (which they don't unless you have the 2011-on Spec-C set up) but recommended the Eibach-Prodrive springs that do fit the 2008-11 cars.

The moral here is never believe everything you read in reviews or magazines................ most journos only paraphrase what they are told as they are not car/make specialists.

You might find your car has prodrive springs. But they would have been fitted as an optional extra. Unless you buy a car brand new you wouldn't know what's been done to it.
Springs wasn't listed as an upgrade over the std STi, like the seats. Key less entry. Stainless steel prodrive back box. Rear tints. Sat nav eve player. 18" alloys. And increased performance.
Just like fog lights, front lip STi spoiler, rear exhausts alloy trims didn't come as standard on the 330s either.

oh right so the previous owner must have specd them when the car was new maybe some dealers mite have thrown then in for nothing to sweeten the deal wish he had specd the sti front spoiler and skirts too

thoughts......
at the wheel..
BHP & Torque
I'm quite pleased, as I'm still really a standard car apart from a ProR air filter.
book listed figures for my car are 325bhp/347LbT
so 319/359 I'm happy, bhp could be lower due to temprature or the rollers etc, but Torque is up on normal.. and it's all about the torque!!

u have PM for the mess grille
hi all. where can I get replacement front brake shims for my 08 STi hatch?
I recently changed the pads and noticed the old ones had no shims on them. Since changing, they are squealing like a pig.
I see a few sets of pads advertised coming with shims, but I just need the metal shims on their own. anyone know where to source these?
thanks.

It depends what you are doing at the time....................knowing how the system works gives you a better understanding of what settings to use and when.

I leave the traction control well alone , set the SI drive to S# and I always set the DCCD to manual and 1 bar. If its snowy/slippery, I'll move add more bars depending on how much traction there it.

Advice needed guys
On the hatch I have a couple of problems, severe road noise and crashing front end rattling, basically the road noise is bad I have changed the tyres only last week but nothing solved, now I thought about wheel bearings but there is no play in the wheels when off the ground, but driving home tonight I found a smooth section of Tarmac with sweeping bends,on left turn minimal noise, but into the right turn a loud drowne from the front left side
Also,on uneven Tarmac the front of the car is basically crashing over bumps,it feels or sounds like the entire underside of the car is loose
Any advice muchly appreciated guys so I can get the ball rolling with what could be a major warranty bill
Cheers marcus

Suspension?
just noticed my hatch has started making a single beep when i press the start/stop button to switch it OFF. just as it turns off (split second after me pressing the button), it makes a beep!
Maybe it always did this and I just never noticed it before - does everyone else's do this?

no problems locking or starting. i thought maybe battery was getting low in the keyfob and it wasn't detecting it or something.
I'll check with the other keyfob and see if it still does it.

what parts if any are interchangable between the ej257 and the ej207 or other 2ltr engins mainly the inlet ant exhaust headers ive been looking at.. eg would an intercooler kit and equal length headers for the ej207 motor fit the hatch i understand that the headers would have to be for a single scroll turbo car

As my warranty is running out, I thought I'd get a compression test done whilst it was in having the cambelt done...and there's a surprise, compression is down to 7 bar..on cylinder #4...now do I pay to have the engine to stripped for the warranty company to tell me nothing has failed, its just wear and tear, or do I just wait for the engine to fail and then hope the warranty company pays out, or do you think I'd have a chance going to IM and seeing if they would do it as it's a known (if not acknowledged) issue? Would it be possible to drop another piston head with rings etc in to get me by until I can afford a forged rebuild? What are peoples thoughts on this?
I can't afford a rebuild at the moment, which would be the way to go, as I'm just buying a new house. I can't and won't sell the car with a known issue

I now have surplus to my requirements a pioneer double din satnav, facial panel & steering wheel control adaptor.
The sat nav really is a great piece of kit which transformed the car and includes Bluetooth hands free, Ipod connecter and displays album art, reversing camera input , sd card input, support for extra monitor etc etc
Full details can be found here
http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/a...20BT/page.html
Photos availbe on request.
Unit is in good overall condtion, if I was to be at all critical in bright sunlight on the screen when the power is off you can see a very light scratch from a finger nail, when the unit is on you cant see it
thought I would offer it here first before ebay, looking at £325.00
Also have a set of genuine Sti mats in great condtion and only a few months old for 25.00
Both plus postage
Drop me a pm if interested
