Scammed Using www.CarPartsEuro.com

Hey guys,
Another one who has been scammed by these people, and found this thread by typing in the company name in google.
I feel like a right nonce, and agree with everyone else about how unprofessional they sounded, but when your desperate for a part like I was, your heart rules the head.
Would recommend to people who haven't contacted the Lancashire police to do so. They have been brilliant about it so far.

I used part finder websites because I was looking for a gearbox for a Fiat Stilo, and they are like gold dust, but no luck, then a couple of days later, a bloke calls and leaves a message of my answer phone saying they have a gearbox and am I interested. So I called them back and ended up out of pocket

I think part finder should take full responsibility as they obviously not done there checks properly to see who's trust worthy before advertising with them!
Someone should contact Watchdog IMHO!

the company is registered with companies house, strangely with a registered address in London however there is a director registered called Eilyas Bapu in an address in Blackburn which isn't the one the site was registered to

Can a trap not be set to catch them, can their number from when they called you back not be traced to an address. Im looking for a Turbo and im Glad I looked at this, as I too could of quite easily fallen victim to these sharks.

That is good news, although for people to be aware, chargeback on a debit card etc is only valid for items over £100 or there abouts, i thought i was secure when i bought soemthing etc,but it was £89 and didnt qualify
let us know if you do get the cash back, did you just say you ordered something, it didnt turn up and they were o.k with that ?

Well i'm not having much luck at the moment!! found another vf35 on ebay, advert said it was good condtion etc, went to go get it fitted today and noticed this:
so emailed seller and trying to sort out another refund
Plus I have had a slight noise mainly when cruising and going to put power on gently, and my mechanic freind thinks its my gearbox... so now I am stalling on power upgrades (as its obviously not meant to happen) and getting quotes on a gearbox rebuild instead.
I phoned my bank and was just honest and said what had basicly happened ie ordered a part and company turns out to be a fake company etc etc.
Will keep you updated on my hopefull refund.

That crack is so tiny its unreal so they "may" not of seen it!
Would that have any effect on the car running or performance ? Sorry don't mean to be rude just interested ? As I have seen ALOT worse get used! And it's on the Exhaust side so IMHO Wouldn't make no difference!
Don't give up buddy you will get there 1 day!
Good move with the bank as "might" be covered!

According to this thread:
https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-question.html
It will most likely have a bad effect on Boost control/performance.

Hi Guy's I stated a Thread about this Company a while back, but it has since been removed at my request due to threats from the Company Director.
However their is some Information I feel you should be aware.
I was contacted on here by another person.. the Person who took my order for a 6 Speed gearbox. and i spoke to her on the phone, she has been to the Police etc, and warned them.. the company have NO parts and NO PDQ machine for processing card payments etc.
All information relating to payments eg. your card details were being Recorded on pieces of Paper.
I think you will find Accumulus Parts have not taken any money from your card.. but your Details Sold on and your card skimmed in other ways. ( I may be wrong.. but this is my Personal opinion on the Matter)
The Most Important Information i will give you is...
They have just Changed Directors in the last Few Day's I registered to get updates on the Company... and had an email yesterday.
Report Changes Click here to buy updated report
12/03/2009 - Appointment of director / secretary
13/03/2009 - Resignation of director / secretary
I will contact the Lady who worked for Accumulus and point her in the Direction of this Thread.
I ordered Through Find A Part.... but the Ex employee informed Find A Part and they removed them.
Regards
Derek

For those of you who were on about the Police.. I tried that.. and they told me to go to Trading Standards or Consumer Direct.. it is them who must Now involve the police in this Type of internet Fraud..
They said they would not get involved in low Value fraud cases.. but if Trading Standards etc build up a large enough case through Accumulated (Pardon the Pun lol) complaints then they would get involved.
Below is what i posted Back in February.

I recently used findapart to locate a 6 Speed DCCD gearbox, and the company that contacted me with one was Accumulus parts.
The first thing i found Strange was they did not accept my Debit card, and insisted they could only accept Payments from a Credit card.
I said i could use my Prepaid Mastercard, and they said No... it will need to be a credit card, as the company that supplies their PDQ machine will only accept Credit cards due to them trading for less than 12 months, and it gives the consumer protection as the credit card company will refund you if your item does not turn up.
I had a friend pay for the box via his credit card, and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new box. They phoned me up to say they had not taken payment as their Machine & computers were down, and that the Gearbox would be dispatched the next day.. but still i had nothing after 5 days of being told the same Story i start to get funny with them, yesterday and was promised it would be sorted today, and they would call me by 10 am.
I tried to call them at 12 Pm and gets a BT message... Sorry the number you are calling does not accept incoming calls, I tried several times.
I phoned the operator and done a line test on their number and this was ok, i Spoke to an agent who confirmed that the company had requested that the line does not accpet incoming calls.
So now i am very concerned and think i am being ripped off.
Has anyone used this company? and if so how did you get on?
Thanks
Derek

Hi,
I am the lady who used to work there, right from the beggining i thought there was something fishy going on. Its a small office and the websites that they used like findapart and breaker link they claimed to be their own at the begining. I found a number of things strange and after two days i quit. While i was at home i started to do some of my own investigating as i had to much time on my hands wiht no job to go to. I found this website with reference to the guy above i contacted him and findapart and also breaker link, these websites told me they had many complaints about the company accumulus parts and would no longer let them use.
I contacted accumulus parts and challenged them at a lot of things, they didnt know what to say to me. I told them i thought they were a scam and i wasnt coming back. I told them they had a lot of bad things saying about them on the internet. They told me if i was that concerned i should call the police. I did call the police and they told me to contact trading standards. I did contact trading standards and told them everything i thought was strange about the company. In the mean time, The guy who first made a thread about this company i got in contact and told him what i knew and what i had done. Accumulus parts rang him and said that i had been sacked because i was caught stealing peoples credit card details which isnt true, After he told me this I rang the police and the next day they asked me to go down for an interview i went down and told them everything i knew there they said they would look into the matter and update trading standards.
After that The lady who owns breakerlink rang me saying a lot of customers from accumulus parts had not recieved their goods and no money had been taken, but there has been transactions made on some of their accounts from abraod. I also passed this information on to trading standards and they said they are still looking into the matter i also told her to go to the police/tradingstandards.
This all happened back in Feb and i've not heard nothing from anyone since. I do know that they have changed there telelphone number. It used to be 01254 677762

Sorry to bump this again, but I have been to the police, and Have to go down to make a statement about the transaction. Apparently Lancashire police have had a lot of complaints about the company and are investigating. It's worth reporting to Lancashire police, they are investigating. Havent had to go to trading standards yet.

Hi,
Not a Scooby owner.... but found this forum whilst searching for Accumulus Parts. I've also been ripped off for a few hundred quid. Fortunately paid by credit card so am covered on charge back.
A couple of phone numbers have cropped up for Mr Eilyas Bapu (Google is your friend)....
07543 442837
07895 536484
It may just be a huge coincidence that a bit more searching puts this man at the same address:

Nice people.

A couple of things people can do to safeguard themselves against scammers (if you think it may be dodgy):
1. If paying by phone or internet, give/enter slightly incorrect credit card details. If they are just recording card details they will be foiled. A legitimate company will try and run the card through their card processor and tell you it is incorrect straightaway. Always request a authorisation code
2. Use a trusted payment gateway - PayPal is too easy for scammers as it is so easy for anyone to set up.
