There is a circle of abuse, the abused become the abuser, it's not an excuse, but it is a fact.

I'm far more interested in the protection children than I am in getting off on people being tortured of killed for their crimes. If you can demonstrate that the DP is a likely deterent then I would definitely consider changing my views .

In many ways it would be societies final failure for some of these sad individuals.
The extreme penalties suggested are indeed a part of that protection Martin. As we used to have in this country, the real penaltiies dished out by the courts for serious offences did a great deal to persuade people to think twice before committing bad offences. The PC Plonking idea of making gaols like hotels and talking about re-education and minimal sentences just does not work as far as committed criminals are concerned.

how can you protect the children martin you cant keep them loocked indoors.

two years ago i was in the turkish side of cyprus in mafagosta my friend who is from there, had no house keys with him and all his family went out. he left his door wide open and we went to get haircuts came back and it was like we left it. kids out there playing football on the streets with there parents having no worries about them. when i used to live in saudi my parents never worried about me. cause pedos hardly exist out there.

just cause some one gets abused doesnt mean he has to go out there and abuse people. and i dont think thats in all the cases i think some of them lie about how they were abused as children to get shorter prision time.

Yup, Dubai was pretty much the same! Safe and secure - mostly if you committed crime you went to a nasty jail had had a very hard time - funnily enough this worked!

The do-gooders and excuse monkeys can say all they like, countries with harsh prison regimes and punishment systems generally have lower crime. You can site the USA as say this does not work, however, the lawyer culture, tying up the system and delaying sentences and the devious people there make this a bad example and lets face it, who wants to follow the Americans example. they get so many things wrong.

Yep a quick dose of viagra and then the use of a sword or guillotine with a small hole in it. For heinous crimes a butchers meat slicing machine set to a thin salami setting.
