Torque is nice.... but peak power at circa 5.2k. What has gone on there? Unless of course it is a standard 2.5 and someone is pushing their luck!

The samco intake hose was sucking shut, hence the power drop off. This has been rectified so hopefully Martyn can work his magic

It's very nice to drive actually, more torque than I'll ever need and low lag. It's a great road car and more power than I can handle on the track.

It is still under investigation Shaun, we suspect that the 3 inch Samco intake hose may be sucking shut at high loads creating a restricition. This is by no means the finished article and we will of course update you when the finished results are in.

So tyre type, tyre pressures and diff temps have no impact ?

Duncan, if you feel like having a Q+A session regarding the DD dyno, feel free to call me and I will tell you exactly why none of the above affect the losses.

No it's fine Martyn. I am quite happy for you to explain why they wont affect the dd calculated wheel horsepower here.

I thought DD losses were based on a fixed %, so no, those parameters won't affect the "calculated" losses..... but it will affect the measured whp. Well... that's the way I understood it for DD stuff.

It's all chicken soup at the end of the day.

As we all understand..... it did what it did!

Sorry Duncan but we were discussing the losses, not the actual figures themselves.
The figures obtained were on Toyo T1R tyres, running stock tyre pressures and on a relatively cold gearbox temp as it was just one run to back up yesterdays obtained figures, 503/465. The fact that the ACT was lower this morning made more of a difference to the figures than having a red hot gearbox, care to explain ? LMAO

FYI, no car mapped on our dyno has ever gone on to make less on any other dyno. JD's ran on 3 dynos within a week with no changes and made 15-20hp and 30lbft more on both of the others.

I'm surprised to hear that the proper Samco has sucked shut!

As Martyn says, its a work in progress still. Personally I'm not about massive bhp figures, a big lump of torque with a better curve suits me down to the ground. The roll on power is awesome.

Not until the early part of next year, the owner only needs it for Prostreet in April.

as some of you will already know the "v" is coming off my car to be replaced with the rcm500 also the 1000cc injectors will be replaced with 1200s as dave rowe says the 1000s were holding back the power! so he is going to source them for me, im really looking forward to these new mods as are dave rowe and rcm will post results up as and when

rcm 500 isn't that the same as 321V or S206? Or is it rotated?
