I hate the way immigration has been handled but I won't vote BNP just because of that. Don't know who I'm going to vote for actually
I too would be interested in Uptempo's reasoning

Well this is the problem with Swimming pools money and maintenance, not that i know how much it cost to maintain a swimming pool over a year..You will always get a certain amount of people no matter what their status that will break rules or will stretch it to the max and get everything they can out of it,it's called Greed and where greed is concerned being Moral and doing the right thing don't usually come into it.Brown don't appear to be bothered about really anything he's so deluded or pumped full of happy pills.Atleast Cameron is doing something to deal with it although it's still wrong and alot of people are Angry he is taking some responsibility and showing leadrership...im shutting up now ......

There's actually a good theory that says vote BNP in the Euro elections as a) having a *democratic* vote for any European election isn't in the least bit democratic as things won't change anyway and b) it'll be great TV watching the BNP square up against the Euros .....

Agreed, lots of persons seem to be going BNP out of frustration, it's still wrong imho, as they are just a bunch of uber-racists.

I thought so, from your previous posts etc.
I had a look at the BNP website just now (I'm probably on some list somewhere because of that, lol) and their mission statement reads like a joke. Not a very good one, mind. I don't see how anyone could take them seriously after reading that.

I think the point is that the tories have been slating NL for having "dodgy" expense claims and everyone has then slated NL for it, then look what happens when the tories are even worse with their claims, £4.50 on dog food ffs, claims for swimming pools, when will it end?
And as for Gordon Brown not apologising, I believe he apologised for ALL MP's expenses claims.

Just had a look at the UKIP website, i don't really know that much about them to be honest, and i don't know what the hell this campaign about British pubs is all about?
are they like a "joke" group ?
all they seam to want to do is save pubs, sack off immigrants and stick 2 fingers up at the French, admittedly that all sounds rather good to me but i am not so sure they have enough brains to run the country, although at least they seam honest and will probably do what they say they are going to do, rather then talk a load of bollocks and do constant U turns like the "big 2"

So, basically, the Tories are un-electable ..... as are Labour.
If enough people vote for the Lib-Dems we will get some form of coalition .... could be a good option for 4 years to let things settle down and Labour step in again with a huge majority then?

BBC NEWS | Politics | Blears will pay tax on flat sale
" ... She said she had acted within the rules but knew people were "really angry" and paying it was "the right thing to do" ... "
I'm sorry, but if what she claimed was 'within the rules' it wouldn't matter how *angry* people were, they could go hang as she wouldn't have to pay anything back! She's been caught out as the others have and belatedly doing something about it.

So what we are down to here is basically argung over which party is the least immoral. LOL!
Sorry, but as I often say they are all pigs at the trough and the only real difference is the colour of the rosette pinned to their lapels.
All this apologising and taking the moral high ground over the opposing party from them tonight is frankly patehtic. They said it is what the public would expect, well no, what the public would expect is for them not to fiddle the taxpayer out of money in the first place rather than just apologise when they get caught!!!!

I really don't think we should be arguing about which party is less guilty. We should be agreeing (for once) this is a complete farse and scandal, it has seriously damaged politics and politicians.
I found the sight of Hazel Blears on TV this evening offering to hand back money, utterly vomit endusing, how dare she suddenly, and for expedient political reasons, offer to hand back OUR MONEY to save her sorry ****. She should be sacked, so should Mcnulty and Smith, their crime is worse they are ministers they are in positions of power, and frankly they should have more important things to worry about than how to get hold of as much tax payers money as they can lay their greedy mits upon. And to think they have the title 'Honourable' in their titles!!
Once the anger of this dies down we do need to move on, let's not forget this is OUR DEMOCRACY not theirs, it's OUR COUNTRIES FUTURE we place in their hands. We are in danger of allowing the understandable cynicism this has caused of destroying our political system and harming our democracy for years to come.
Christ knows who anyone should vote for right now, it's not exactly a great choice is it?

There is no choice, Labour are bad - but, as we have seen by these revelations, the Tories take it into a whole new class ....... moat, housekeeper, swimming pools - what a crock of Etonian Back-scratching.
Dump them all out - get the Lib Dems in for 4 years - then Labour for another go ..... the Tories have been shown to have not changed since the Major years and are un-electable.

Labour have had their chance, it's time for the Tories, they have a good leader, they are certainly more electable than Labour right now. Their only chance of avoiding a complete disaster at the polls is to get rid of Brown and put someone else...anyone else in charge. All my fears about Brown have come true, so desperate for the job, but had no idea what he was going to do when he got it.
BTW I think this government have done some truly great things so I'm certainly not going to run them down for everything. But the wheels have come off big time since Blair went (they would of come off if he was still there too)

Didn't think this lot could sink any lower. Now they honestly think paying back this money makes everything alright?
Theres a vast difference between putting back what you've just been caught taking out of the till and not taking it in the first place.
Dissolve Parliament, publish the claims in full and we'll see who gets re-elected...
