All these people saying the don't want to pay a Licence fee for Channels they never watch, or a Radio station they never listen to, but are quite happy to pay £35 a month for Sky, that'll have `x` number of channels they won't watch.
Why not give Sky a call and demand a discount cos you don't watch 31 out of 64 channels available?
Plus all those who bemoan the licence fee will of course never have been to a live music event hosted by the BBC then? Radio 1's big weekend for example? Never ever listen to ANY Radio station by the BBC? I guess they don't watch Top Gear either?
Oh wait....... the watch it online instead. BBC Iplayer? Plus the program isn't made for free. So while you enjoy watching it online (stating you don't need a licence) remember, that without it, you wouldn't be watching Top Gear online or anywhere elase for that matter.

The point is you have the CHOICE to pay for entertainment you want not have it a legal obligation to do so. Why cant you grasp that? If it was an essential service life the Fire, Police etc then it's understandable.

Now is my TV License of £12 a month justified?
How would you like it if i charged you £144 for the rights to read this post whether or not you actually read it as it is accessible from your computer and you had no say in the matter?
