As far as I'm aware all of the Diesel models have the latest 09 chassis. It was also changed on the 09 WRX that is sold in the US and OZ where it now runs the old STI turbo and pushes out 260bhp
We have a JDM S-GT (JDM WRX) as our family car so I know what you mean about the standard setups body roll. The 09 car doesn't need much just a bit more steering weight and body composure

Probably best to just send a normal email or call as there are way too many forms of communication to keep on top off

Default Whiteline questions - groundhog day...

So now I'll ask a question which reveals just how little I know about cars...

Apostle - on the link below, just to be clear, which part is the rear bush kit you're referring to?

Is it the bush kit trailing arm - front (W0568)?

Or is it the positive traction kit - rear (KDT902)?

[### just at that moment, somewhere else in the world someone discovers nuclear fusion, to keep the dumb / clever balance in harmony ###]

Whiteline Automotive - performance handling and suspension products. car spring coil shock damper swaybar sway bar anti-sway bush bushes australia australian whiteline automotive performance road holding turn-in camber caster toe in vehicle hot 4 v8

Sorry to be pedantic but this is really important to me! I've had quite a few of these 'moments' where the back of the car seems to hop a little sideways, when overtaking on A roads, crests of country lanes etc. I thought it was because I haven't had a proper alignment done yet (car is 9 weeks old, with 18" GT1's dealer fitted). I was going to go for prodrive springs first - but it seems the bush kit is a must & I'm leaning towards the arb's etc. instead to fix the handling. Please help me make the right choice!!!

Oh, and I would be in for a group buy also.

That website is a nightmare...I bit the bullit as I was fed up with waiting for the prodrive spring kit and went with the full Type 20 set up with Adjustable AST's, whiteline roll bars, powerflex bushes and a forge strut brace along with a bespoke geometry setup.

There is a power steering mod available from Litchfields now but personally dont have a problem with the steering. The steering can vary from car to car dependant on the geometry, tyre choice and wheel weight/size. Before buying the 330s I drove 4 cars with 17,18 and 19" wheels all had a different feel to them, the standard 330s 5 spoke wheels are very heavy compared to the optional BBS wheels which are the lightest and the ones which gave the best feel and went for in the end.

Mog I've ordered a 330s but was not given an option on the alloys or do you mean they are an optional extra?

The 330s is available with the BBS wheels for about £500 extra, Subaru UK rip us off as the 330s comes into the country as a Euro premuim import with the BBS wheels as standard, fit PPP and change the wheels to the chunky 5 spoke. Ask the dealer to check the UK unallocated stock list which will show the 330s cars and what wheels are fitted.

Thumbs up The man from Del Monte say 'Yes' !

Midichlorian....

Yes mate, KDT 902 'Positive traction kit rear' is the baby.

Powerstation list it on my bill as WLW0598 - SubaruMY08 rear subframe bushes @ £ 31.10 + vat.

There are quite a few bits on the whiteline site which I'm sure make up a great trackday warrior, but many increase the nvh (noise, vibration, and harshness) thus wouldn't suit me for what I wanted.

Bushes and roll bars (plus custom geo)would make a great stage 1 handling package - its probably all these cars need to make them 'something else'.

But if you must have it a little lower then do the springs at the same time.

I imported Cobb springs because they are tried and tested stateside, and because the increase in spring rate is minimal - drop the car 7/8" or 20mm. (In previous scoobs I found the eibachs completely destroyed any comfort i had). I guess the prodrive springs 'must be good' too though.

And... you gotta have someone very reputable like Powerstation fit it all and set it up. Remember THEY did all the development work on the new Type 20 - their geo is fab !

I have to say that now I am so much more confident in literally throwing the car round 'some' corners (and driving round the others yeah yeah), the car sitting firm, flat, and comfortable YEAH !

Apostle - thanks for the advice - I can see clearly now

Sounds like Powerstation is the place to go - or Prosport which is mush closer for me.

Looking forward to that group buy...
