Well i plowed through all of it lol
hmm,, he's got some issues. (getting upset over some check marks on the interior under the carpet lol)
Moaning how the wiring isnt to "his" specification & looks unprofessional ..![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I like the way they applied 10 tons of dynomat to sound deaden everything.. lol
He even admitted that one one of the wax regimes, he saw no
improvement after the 7th coat, but went on to put another 44 coats on.
(so he could say he,d put 51 coats of stuff on)

The cleaning was overkill but I thought the ice install was interesting but as Mart said, there was so much dynamat and mdf introduced, must have added a fair bit of weight.
Engine bay looked good but wonder how much it cost for design, fabrication and chroming??

Forget the car, the an has highlighty streaks type things in his hair, one of my pet hates, nothing is guaranteed to ake me suspecious about a bloke, I mean, who wants to look like Ben Dover ? the just whiff of wedding DJ, Redcoat and that type of thing.

Far less damping needed, but prolly not to his taste given his "perfectionist"
approach...

Intersting a friend of mine had some "fabled" paint sealant applied by the dealer to his new car.. was suppposed to make the car seem like new & make washing a doddle for about 2 years...
he still washes it every week, and it looks no different, and the dirt still sticks to all the usual places

you seen the other link where he details his dyson vacumn.
if any of you go on barry boys- there is the thread of the century there, taking the P*** out of him.
someone "details" their annorak. and no I can't be arsed finding it
I think if astra boy had a life, had a woman, he wouldn't be washing cars.

You cant fault his attention to detail though. Although he could have stopped a lot sooner, and achieved the same result.

Poundshop Wheel Cleaner, Poundshop Engine Cleaner, Poundshop Fabric Cleaner + AutoGlym Super Resin and a powerwasher.
That gives a valet and shine good enough to pass muster - 2 hours and £5 later, jobs a good 'un.
Some people really need help ...... I know someone who cleans the 'awkward' bits with a toothbrush and removes the NumberPlates!

Plus SRP is a polish and doesn't protect the paint, a decent wax will do that and is cheap enough

I like my car being clean, i give it a wash, wax it, perhaps a couple of ties a year I give it the full treatment, the door shuts are clean, the wheels are clean, glass spotless but once done its easy to keep on top of but that is just bordering on obsessive compulsive, its an Astra ffs, get out there, batter it and throw a bucket of water at it when its filthy, as for his services, who needs or wants that, Ferrari owners ? if so then they should have one, the coolest Ferraris and driver I ever saw was a 355 Competizione that came into a car park when I was getting out, it stunk of hot engine and brakes, it was filthy and you could hear it cooling down, the driver got out, dressed like a tramp on a bad hair day, didnt cast it a backwards glance.
To me this over detailing is like getting a dog and putting bows in its hair and shampooing it, then trimming its coat like a Poodle, all primped and ponced up, too clean to get dirty when it should be chasing a stick thrown into a river, charging through hedges and rolling in sheep ****.
