It's the same turbo, we can just set it up how you like!
Yes, you need the downpipe, it will match the rest of your system.
Turbo £1144.25 inc vat stainless downpipe £207 inc vat.

I am running a MD321H on my STI8 at the moment. I am looking for a turbo that would make approx. 450bhp. Very interested in this turbo!

Current spec:

MD321H turbo
Hybrid FMIC and induction kit
Lateral GT spec headers and uppipe
Kakumei turbo back 3 inch exhaust
Lateral baffled sump
Lateral PR 650cc injectors
Simtek
Apexi AVCR

I assume i can run it at circa. 450 and up the boost once i have a forged bottom end fitted?

Is that a matching of wheel/housing or is it just a case of running less boost?

Should be ok assuming you have an STi! we've set up several at 450 on standard new age STi engines, and got away with it so far..

In this particular case, it's about boost. As we built p1Doc's engine, we know he can run the boost up if he wants to, or keep it turned down if he doesn't.
In any case, there's no compunction to wind the wick all the way up. In his lightweight Murtaya, I'd say 400 bhp would be pretty damn quick!

It's a 3" inlet, the SFS silicon intake hose goes on nicely, we can supply those with a discount as well.

So if you just fitted this turbo/downpipe and mapped it accordingly to a STI PPP, what would be the gains? Would you recommend this or would you need any supporting mods?

Soory about the "noob" questions ha ha

No problem! Firstly it needs a front mount intercooler. Two reasons, pipework is one, plus you'd never get anywhere near the power available from these with top mount cooler.

You'd need a decent fuel pump and 650cc injectors for 450 bhp.

Personally I'd go for a Simtek, as this sort of set up is better live mapped.

Etc..

How does the lag compare to a md321t? Do you have any dyno graphs of a sc206 on a 2.0 sti?

Thanks

Not yet! we'll have a 2 litre classic very soon to test. We're removing a 195S and fitting an S206 for comparison.

- Of the H, T, T+ and V, which is it closest too?

If the owner hasn't already got a buyer for it, I could be interested ...

Thanks

Oh yeah, the S206 does sound like it's all pros and no cons, for sure.......... BUT... I was enquiring about the MD195S! - that Enginetuner will be removing from a client's car (see above).

I always thought we in Devon were the ones who had trouble with Seagulls!
Yes, he might be interested in selling it. I'm sure he's been running around 400bhp with it.

Don't suppose there are any updates on how the turbo performed on the 2.0 litre?

Post your dyno plot and subjective report on it when fitted and remapped would you?
