His baffoon/oaf persona is completely manufactured, he's as spin doctored/stage managed as the best of them but in his own unique way which is what makes him so easy to like. It's totally false and he's built a career on it, fair play to him. He's a very intelligent and shrewd man.
Either way, his reactions to things like today are hard to manufacture, and its so refreshing to see a human reaction, rather than a spokes persons statement.
Comes from the same mould as people like Clarkson. On the surface, acts the fool, but inside, somewhere there is something we all relate to. Im pretty sure he is loved/hated like Clarkson too.
Guess thats why Boris on TG was such a good mix.

Hmm, one sided inasmuch as a lot of people dispised and disliked Red Ken and Boris has proven himself human + won the London Mayorial Race by beating Ken and so is more popular than the outgoing and disliked Ren Ken sort of one sided eh Martin![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
The Red Ken who compared a Jewish reporter to a Concentration Camp Guard and never apologised for his racist attack on said reporter - likeable and kind hearted bloke that Ken Livingstone![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
Yup, we all must be mugs eh!

Martin, is it just me who finds it ironic that someone who made a statement as bold as this....
"Dave We want politics to be serious and grown up, yet resort to caricature and childish name calling like cyclops and Billy Liar NuLabia etc to describe our politicans"
Goes on to repeatidly describe SN members who voice their opinions on members of national and local standing as "mugs"
Its drowning in irony, that you frown on name calling, but resort to it each time you are either cornered by a majority disagreeing with you, or just have strong feelings about the person you are discussing, I.e Boris.

I called UB a mug for verbatim repeating UKIP propaganda, no one else. So please get your facts right
As for Boris, I don't mind him, but I'm not sure why you keep feeling the need to leap to his defense.
Such an odd post

Lol@ jumping to his defence. I think there may be a little irony in this post too.
As for a "gross exaggeration"
Not really. Its an opinion on an observation. Its the second thread you have started calling people a "mug" on.
A name is a name, does not matter who its directed at really mate.![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Like I say, just an observation

[quote=Snazy;8746367]In response to Paul saying
Tongue in cheek im sure, but none the less.. lol[/quote
Nice editing
I never called Paul a mug
I meant he was admitting to the bias in his original post
