Midlife,
Araldite is a lightweight glue.
Two pack resin bond is industrial strength compound.
You can bond 25 mm re-bar into concrete, araldite LOL wont do that.

can anyone tell me the brands of this resin bond? can i pick it up from the likes of b&q or not? how much would this cost?

I think you can get a small one from B&Q.
If not there Google the Build Center, must be one by you, there nationwide.
Just ask for resin bond, look gormlesss and you will fit in fine......

Or just buy some araldite, its only a gearknob FFS.
