Families

I am very lucky. My parents have gone I am afraid and they are badly missed. I have an outstanding sister and we get on very well indeed.
Don't see my cousins all that much, only on special occasions, but we all get along well too.
If your brother is that bad, all you can do is to put him on "ignore" to save the rest of your family from trouble. He will have brought that on himself of course.

Well my mother is also my boss and will eventually hand over her half of the business to me. Ta!
My father and I get on but his wife (who is younger than my brother) is quite horrid and pretty much put paid to he and I ever really getting close.
My brother is much older than me 11 years and not my dads. We get on very well and i used to idolise him for his lifestyle and nature - probably still do.
Don't bother with other relatives. Not through previous issues but just apathy really.
Wifes family is a f*cking nightmare. Brother is a loser lurching from one court room to another over custody with the last tart he knocked up. Can't get his act together for toffee. Sister and partner are good people. Mum and dad are on the sick and get every benefit going. On holiday nearly every month on the "baccy run" drink, smoke live in st*t order. Easiest way to describe her dad is Les Battersby from coronation street but worse and real and all of them would fit in as extras for Shameless. The family all trying to pick holes in each other, bad mouthing each other to back but smiles to face. Drink, smoke, on the blag.
The first night I stayed at her parents, they went away in the morning. I woke up first and was actually cleaning their kitchen. Why I never ran for the door I will never EVER know!!!

As a taboo subject adoption doesn't really get mentioned alot, I am comfortable to know someone "took me on", but I've never bothered to find out the background story.
Andy you are like a son to me......
A talented, sponging, lazy, good for nothing, waste of.....
LOL
dunx
P.S. At my age, 99 % of you are young enough to be my kids....

I'd need to hear what he thinks about you in order to comment. Nothing about families is ever one sided. Sorry but I'm sure he has a similar tale.
As the saying goes; You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family.
I totally despise my brother.
Mum and Dad now long gone... just me and him left, he's 44 and a complete and utter total waste to society and life in general, sponger, on benefits, alcoholic, left his partner, 2kids and dogs, doesn't give them a bean. He is a total embarassment to everyone around him.
I hate him, I fvcking hate him, and have done for a number of years.
(I have done an awful lot for him recently to try and help, his last words to me were "You fvcking cvnt")
I wish him dead, my wife wishes him dead, his ex-partner wishes him dead, my mother, who passed away recently, wanted him to die before her.
Anyone else care to rant?

That said... fair comment, but this is a BBS, so it's my side only
In all honesty, he doesn't care about his 2 kids or his ex partner, so I hardly think he gives a **** about me. My (our) Dad died in 2003, and he's blamed the world for it ever since. He's one of lifes victims, he doesn't need his side of the story.

Thanks guys, I cannot get a job at the moment, as I have two children who i would need to pay childcare for, and those of us who use childcare know what a premium we have to pay for the service.
Don't get me wrong, I do not resent my children, I just feel sad that the world seems to slide on by and I am feeling a bit cast aside.
What made me feel this way was going out on the weekend and seeing all our happy go lucky friends all footloose and fancy free. It hit me that I have two children.
I would never ever change them or my situation for the world. I just envy those who are out i the real world and having their brain challenged by something more than what sort if art activity shall we do this pm, painting or playdoh? lol.
I am usually really positive when it comes to my family and my children, and I love bein a full time mum 95% of the time, but I suppose I am i the 5% at the moment and feeling low.

Going out clubbing, partying can be done anytime but your kids growing up is special and every moment should be cherished.
My wife doesn't work and I've even suggested her working and I'll be a house husband.....
not a rant but there you go
