So, the point of this thread was?
If we knew the facts then your thread would make some sense but it's just a load of waffle without being able to qualify what you're saying. There is no way of us giving objective opinions without some facts and therefore it seems there is no point in you posting the thread in the first place really
Given me a laugh anyway

Just guessing but 'we' is probably the forum readers/posters
and the achievment is being able to understand what the unions motives were behind their actions, rather than just reading your opion. Three sides to a story and all that.
What's wrong with us being able to find out which union may not have their 'finger on the pulse'?

You may find this hard to believe, but most people on here do not have your obvious burning desire to meet me ...... in fact, they don't really care!
The motives behind the Unions actions are, as I have stated and will repeat for your benefit:- the pay offer is ranged from 0% for poor performers to 6% for the top performers. The Unions want an across the board rise - that's why they are against it.
Happy now?

Knowing who the union/employer was would definitely shed light on many of the reasons for the outcome and give some weight to your statements.
It's gonna be a case of you saying "why so interested, believe me with no question" and us retorting " why the problem with telling us who the union is?" in circles, isn't it?

Is that your way of saying "I give up and have no further way of arguing my points due to lack of evidence"?
Oh, probably not, we're just not worthy of your time
Well, at least you are consistent

Not always true; one of Pete's most durable fictions was his 40 mpg impreza, which he claimed was so economical because he only drove short journeys. As we all know, short journeys are death to Subaru fuel economy because of the incredibly rich warm-up cycle. He tried to wriggle out of it by claiming he believed that the Scooby's tank was only 50l capacity.
EPIC fail, and card marked forever.

Yeah, lots of pay freezes being negotiated right now, average percentage of pay rise bargains has defintely dropped due to the obvious. Not the greatest of times.
On SSU's thing, I'm wondering if he's saying that this is more to do with a performance based system that's being introduced over time, rather than just a case of the unions turning down a performance based pay increase (that would take some time to sort out anyway)?
Sounds like the representation/member no. wasn't great enough to be able to secure an all round flat rate pay rise in the first place or there may have been a ballot in which the members decided that they would prefer to go with the performance based system rather than flat rate.
More to it in any case. Still shows his posts as waffle imho
Seems that alot of unions are trying to halt any reductions in pay that the moment but there is such a variation in the industries covered by unions that there is no way you can really group their intentions/goals together absolutely.

For anybody to get a pay rise funded by public money is disgusting whilst the private sector takes pay cuts and redundancies.
I'd rather have less money than no money at all

You're all not still talking about me, are you? Shucks ....
I must admit to feeling a bit embarrassed - you lot remember everything about me and what I have said - I, on the other hand, cannot recall a single thing of note from you .... my fault, I guess I'm just too busy getting on with things. I do apologise most sincerely.
