We have the Samsung and a separate Freezer as it is on the small side. Like you, my cold water supply is on the wrong side and would need to start ripping things apart to solve. You can get a pump which would sit in an adjacent cabinet with a bottled supply, the pump is expensive though.

I'm leaving mine for now until I get a chance to have the floor up, don't want pipes running all over the place if I can avoid it.

Apart from that it’s OK, but do find it quite noisy and the fridge even on it's warmest setting is very cold.

Had a Samsung for about 4 years now and there have been no problems with it. Highly recommended on that basis.

I see Nat chimed in with his usual stupid comments that he thinks make him look clever.

Its a piece of p*ss.
The pipe is only 5mm or so in dia so all i did was buy some (supplied pipe will no doubt be too short) in white to match skirting board and run it around kitchen at that level, easy!

Is it fair to say there was a sense of humour failure in your kitchen Swiss?

You are a brave man. If I was to pass a remark like that it would "No talk and cold breakfast" for at least a month!

I love my Samsung had it for about 5 years, never had a problem, but did not get the water/ice dispenser due to the amount of room it took out of the freezer, although used my uncle's "real" one in America recently and really enjoyed having the ice!! Ah well!!

we've just done a self build and one thing I wanted was a Yank type fridge freezer. We went with a Whirlpool with all the gear - not the cheapest but far from the dearest - and love it. Ice / water dispenser used all the time.

As mentioned above did hear some scare stories ref Samsung but can't confirm true or not.

Also kept our old 50 / 50 top and bottom fridge freezer and it's in the utility room. Freezer used as expected. Fridge keeps beer and white wine chilled

We sell these Swiss and they are fantastic. Two doors opening to the fridge on top and a pull out drawer freezer beneath. IMHO look far nicer than the other american style and are far more practical. Have a mooch at the other ones they do, they're not the cheapest but of a superior quality to samsungs, whirlpool etc etc....
