N97 or 3Gs

That was the biggest disappointment on the hugely marketed SAT NAV function on the N95 - NO maps - dohhh!!!! Felt right conned (and still annoyed).
Anyone know if the N97 come with, err, actual MAPS?

As N95 now needs replacing (broken earpiece) I am in the N97 on Vodafone v i Phone on 02 costing more for a worse deal decision mode. Been with Voda for 15 years - so its a big decision and feels like switching to a cartel... prefer open market options usually rather than being had by the short n curlies.
Saw an i Phone browsing Facebook yesterday - leagues ahead of sketchy browsing on N95...

i tried a 3gs today... video was a marked improvement, but apple still cant cater for people with
stubby fingers...
couldnt hit the camera / video button at all
Im hoping the N97 is a bit better.. why they dont have any dummy models in the shops yet i dont know

How have I invaded a thread? Oh I see, I should not post on threads that have iPhones in them. Sorry.
Not sure if the comment was tongue in cheek or not, but if not

Listen Snaz! I just want what was promised me some 2 years ago when I saw the all new N95 ad the size of a train carriage in Bangkok. It boasted amazing functions inc Sat Nav! Now my missus has SatNav on her Nokia, out of the box, but I dont! Grrrr! Step away from the wallet Nokia and avoid confusion marleting! D

My N95 had Sat Nav out of the box..... once the maps were loaded, from Nokia, for free lol.
My 5800 also has Sat Nav, out of the box, and is now loaded with Nokia Maps AND Garmin for good measure.
Get an iPhone will ya

Nokia Europe - Maps - Main
N97 would get my vote, plainly because you get touch and hardware keyboards
Worth looking at both though, see which suits you best.

Nokia Europe - Pricing & Coverage - Maps shows a one year 'licence' costs about as much as my Garmin which has TMC. No deal fffff Fins! Its a bit like selling you on a slap up meal but charging a third again for a knife and fork!
Does the N97 have proper voice guided Sat Nav (like Tom Tom/Garmion etc) that I can use in the car remains my question? Something a bit more whopee-doo than what you get by tapping in www.streetmap.con to the browser!!!!

lol, aaah it must be Orange Maps that want £6 a month.
I got Garmin XT on my 5800 (same OS as N97) Cheap deal, but works superb I have to say. Got all the USA maps on it too.
