Not just me then
Yoza, none taken. I'm not a big fan of your watch threads (no offence) but agree with your comment about content not quantity.
Some of the threads in NSR as well as Muppets were great and very funny, some were ghastly
It appears now as if people just want to whinge about the Mods/Site. Yeah, yeah. I've just had a whinge.
Maybe I am having a touch of nostalgia

I have recieved many PM's from people who had zero interest in watches, until reading my posts, I find a great result/pleasure.
I have also sold and advised on many watch transactions for the good of someone I dont even know.
I think Im a bit like a Jehovas Witness for watches, and completely mad of course.
The reason I felt compelled to reply to your post was the " massive post count " comment, it means nothing from a post *****, never has and never will.
Post whoring was a failed attempt by certain people to try and get credibility via a post count, but racking up 10000 posts in one night was to me ridiculess.
My posts may not interest you, and fair enough, but they do contain content, and many people read them.
Love Yoza.

I understand that my watch threads can be boring for people who dont find the subject interesting, hence why I now add a warning to the title. Yet they still command 2000+ views and 250+ replies, so someones liking them.

Yeah i've got to agree with you on that one. After my house move and time away from S.Net i started with a new user name and i remember on more then one occassion the old "who's the newbie sticking his nose in" style comments when it was a heated topic.

Nothing rose tinted about it at all. Was just an observation.
I have been very faithfull to this site and always will be. I just wondered why it was not as busy and why so many of the regulars have moved on.
In it's day, it was fierce in it's posting. Many a time I posted a reply, only to find it was way too late as about 6 folks had beat me to it

It's been debated numerous times already, Subaru ownership is a fraction of what it was 5 years ago, people move on, people die , join new bbs's, novelty wears off etc.
I don't think the site is '**** up', yes it's not as buy as it was, yes are less flame wars/infractions etc, doesn't make it dead imo.
I don't miss some of the 'regular' losers that used to inhabit here, Chaos/Mycroft/Audilover/Nacro and 100's that I've forgotten.
I'm not fussed either way, just get a little tired of the same old Snet bashing, either use it or don't, that's my 5 cents.

i don't own and impreza and never have and don't intend too, yet i've been coming here since approx. 2001/2. I'd say its a fairly decent site.
I'm very glad to see some of the suckubuses and their crew has gone though, makes a nicer place to post. I'm very anti-clique, i post what i think is funny or what i think is interesting and don't feel the need to have the approval of others, i have no want to ever be in a clique as i'd rather get on with everyone.

G00ner, this is the first time I have questioned anything in Scoobynet. Once again, it is my observation. I don't care how many times it has been debated. I have not seen said debates as I too have been missing in action for personal reasons.
All I seem to see, is baiting, slagging the Mods and Admin, whinging blah blah blah.
I used to get a right old laugh in here, but lately, no.
Lets just hope it picks up. I have made some fantastic friends from this site and meeting them proved them to be as good as they are on the boards.

Agree to some extent with the clique observations. I have often found in posting on subjects that a view of a newbie/low post count /unknown is either ignored or ridiculed.
Also I remember when the search function wan't working and i'd been away on holiday so not been on a for a while, posting a thread about Ken Block (yes him!!) andnot knowing it had been done to death, got not just flamed but some abusive comments which were so bad I contacted a mod and asked for the thread to be removed.
Now, I will come and read things but very rarely ever post....because I just never feel that you're that welcome if you're not part of the "in" crowd. Don't mean to offend, but that's very much how it seems!!

Well, as an evil mod, I'll stick my oar in (moreso as a user point of view)
Things change, and regardless of bans or moderation issues, some people do just move on, grow tired of a site, or even just have other things more important going on.
As for the running of this place, I'm never going to say, we as mods always get things right (at least in the opinions of some). We are only human, and do this to help the site, but as people we can all get things wrong at times, and we mustn't forget, what is seen as a bad judgement call on our part/ bad decision, can equally be seen as the right thing to do by others. I guess you can't please all the people all of the time. I most certainly want people to enjoy the site.
From a user perspective, even before being a mod, I have found it difficult at times to fit in (I'm a sensitive soul), but really you just have to give it time to get to know people. What I will say, is thanks to SN, I have become friends with, and met some great people, it's been worth it for that alone.
If we want to move forward, and improve things (for those who think it's gone quiet), get posting! If all of us still here had a bit more crack on, it'll get busy again, and while we might miss some characters of old, there's plenty still about, and potential newer ones, if we just start posting.
Just my humble opinion, and I wouldn't be shocked if I get picked apart for it.
