Seems ok for me now, got my sub-2 second response back (as opposed to 2minutes over the weekend). So I guess they fixed it

Terrible isnt it. I am completely redesigning my farm and going all paddy fields. I like rice me

As to the bloody speed on this site. It is still bad, might be slightly better but for FFS please sort out these google ad doubleclick ****e,they slow down everything. Sure you want advertising but at the expense of the members being able to use this forum ?
I hope not

Half the load time of last night (still not great) but the ads are probably the quickest thing to load if you leave them on.

It's painfully slow on my 5meg wired system, it's like going back to dial-up.

Sorted for me now. How ?
By using firefox or safari and blocking every single ******* advert, doubleclick, scorecard, google stuff going. In fact bar signing up for plus membership and turning off the rest of the ads, this is the best and cheapest way. If IB decide that we are bloody morons that can stand this amount of advertising and not pay anything, then so be it. I will switch off anything that gives them a shred of data or advertising revenue.

The sad thing is I used to support this forum by having plus membership for many years and even have the orange/blue membership as well. Even then I still allowed some adverts to pass through as a way of giving something back to the forum.
Being treated like idiots is different and as such I will respond likewise.

Still bad 10-15 secs to load. No problems with any other sites and I look at a few.

I hear what you are saying, but for me turning them off has made an improvement over what was a rubbish display speed. The outage or slowdown just made it impossible to post and deal with the forum and combined with the ads just made it a joke.

Obviously something has been donw to improve the speed, but it just highlighted to me the fact that whilst it took ages for your post to be displayed the ads and data cultivation was still working for them.

I have been doing all that for a fair old while, in fact i have been doing it since ex-webby had a go at me for something, just to **** the muppet off

but my speed has still been crap the past few days, with all the ****e blocked, so i`m afraid your fix is probably coincidence

No fountains but I believe you can buy a top hat, ripped bodice and Lady Chatterley's Lover from the store
