dpb - basically "proper" swell that's come from a long way away - has a long "period" (gap between waves) and breaks much better and faster than short range wind slop. The hurricanes in the Caribbean always create good groundswell.
Funkii - that's silly surfing! Not many do it and it's bonkers. Done triple overhead in France by mistake (went in at double overhead - it picked up) and was lucky to be able to make it back in. Head high is the ideal size - rippable but powerful.

Got yer - id forgotten it was hurricane season ( still bit early even so id have thought) .
The thing about surfing is youve got to get a tow/ expend time and energy getting out there
- having said that, who wouldnt want to experience being in a barrel like that

Many think towing in is cheating. Too many are getting towed into waves that aren't all that big. You need to paddle - good for your shoulders!
Done much smaller barrels many times - awesome feeling. Shame we don't get more in the UK.

Ee, lad, that's not a proper saddle it's a razor blade, it'll have thee pods off and tha wain't even notice they're gone, you want a proper wide one with all springs under it or you'll be a martyr to your chalfonts in later years.

Bubba - my MTB saddle is worse...
It's all about the design. Instead of loads of padding, the saddle is designed to flex under your weight (on the MTB one it's mostly carbon). Actually super comfy and your nads stay intact thanks to the shape and the hole in the middle.
Been riding similar saddles for many years and have a healthy sprog - so all fine so far...

dpb - first ride was totally comfy. Specialized (who made both) have a thing called "Body Geometry" designs. Some super whizzy boffin goes a lot further than most to make sure their stuff fits really well and doesn't cause problems - from the saddles to the shoes to their gloves. It does work really well. I've had far more padded saddles that have been a lot less comfy.
The saddles come in three widths -you get measured at a dealers and then get the right one.
And saddles get a lot more extreme than ours - check this one out!

You sit on a sensor thingy and it measures how wide your **** (sit bones) are.
The channel is so you don't get pressure on your major nerve/artery behind your gonads. If your sack sits that far back when you are riding a bike, I'd seek urgent medical help!
