Did someone say Le Mans?
I've organised a group going this year, for my stag-do. 14 guys squeezed into:
MY99 Impreza (mine), MY01 WRX, 22B, Toyota Rav4 (sorry!).
Unless we decide my Impreza is too noisy in which case I'll take our Legacy Turbo saloon. (Karens: Dark blue with STi decals and gold MY00 wheels)

DGR Nice car mate, shame about the scratch, but at least it shows you were trying! Where abouts do you do your rallying, I wouldn't mind seeing one in action again.
It was McRae's antics in a GpA RS that had me lusting after one for years.

Same here mate.
You can buy a video of the 1991 BRC season, In which Mcrae drove the Rothmans Legacy RS from Duke video.
Well worth a purchase lots of footage of Mcrae's mad driving.

Nearly forgot Squizz, I'm taking my Legacy to Le Mans, going with my dad and uncle (Volvo).
Leaving Coventry on the Thursday. I went last year and stayed with a mate who lived only half a mile from the circuit. Luxury, brilliant food (still got soaked though)

A few years ago now, I was at a Castle Combe track day and there was a black Legacy wagon that had been rolled, covered in gaffer tape, plastic windows, and stripped out interior, HOONINGaround! He was cutting corners and chucking loads of crap onto the track. Anyone know who it was? It was going very well, but I did think at the time he was taking the **** a little....

Dimmers!
Get yourself over to ScoobySport and ask wheat they can do for you. I blew my legacy Turbo's bottom end (seems a haynes manual for an impreza does NOT list the right amount of oil for a legacy....OOPS) and they very helpfully glued a WRX bottom end on for me. Sweet.
Now I just gotta fix my little overboosting problem....either by finsing the cause of the overboost.....or enjoying the benefits of a chip.....hmmmmmmmmmm
I figure an airfilter and an exhaust and a chip should see me at 240bhp reasonably easily.
Maybe more? Anyone got any suggestions?
Anyone know where I can get a quicker steering rack? Would improve the driving experience no end.
I am also contemplating a new gearbox....what can I do...and how much folks?
HELP!
BTW! EVERYONE should fit WRX brakes and wheels...those standard brakes do NOT do the car justice.

turbo_steve, if you have a large bore exhaust from the turbo back, this is the cause of your overboost problem due to the lack of restriction causing the turbo to spin up far easier......fit a chip![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)

Mufasa, I remember seeing that Black Legacy Wagon at Combe, It had reg plates which read Tequila Slammer on it. The driver had good car control, being well sideways in most of the bends.
When I saw it last they had cut the wagon bit of the rear end and turned it into some sort of buggy, with no overhang of bodywork over the front or rear wheels.

Hi,
I am satisfied I am not the only one to have of to adapt my exhaust Devil 2X108 cm. I have to lengthen(stretch out) the him(it) of 10 cms it(he) is normally for Impreza...
![](http://membres.lycos.fr/subaruleg/hpbimg/sub%20pot.jpg)
In Switzerland(Swiss) it is a problem to modify its car, the laws are top strict but have succed there all all the same![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Please, still have you photos of this Legacy's model(BF) so that I can again fill(perform) my web site?
Thank you
Bye

well mine is 'chipped'![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
however, you can get a fuel cut lifter from jamie at www.performanceexhausts.com
that does the trick, only costs about £30 too.
and yes, the car does know how much boost you are running...map sensor tells it![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
god knows where my fuel cut has gone, running 1.4bar (smudge over 20 psi) and still dont hit the thing![EEK!](images/smilies/eek.gif)
cheers

i'm guessing your turbo's quite new or a hybrid, i don't think mine would thank me for 20psi (147k on original turbo
)

standard turbo mate ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
getting a TD05 next week, so not too bothered![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
cars done 69K, inspected turbo when engine was out, no bearing play, and no damage to the wheels either.....so hopefully it can be used again

Sorry to push into this "Legacy" thread, but is anyone intersted in a Thule roof rack for a '92 saloon. I've only used it three times, before a nutter wrote my car off in a carpark! The rack cost £90 new so I need reasonable offers.
I've now got a rev d GTB Legacy - a different beast altogther.
I will also put this into the For Sale section.
Cheers
