Did you have to fit a fuel cut lifter when you fitted the chip?
What chip have you got? has it ever been on the rollers?
What other mods have you got?
On my road car i have: MRT Induction Kit, Chip (built by a Motech Engineer - it is also switchable).

JCM7611's Legacy car should hopefully be tested on the rollers this weeked at Powerstation.
That's got induction kit, Mongoose de-cat turbo-back exhaust system, BOV, and has been chipped.
Should be interesting - Pulls like a train!

yes itll be good to see what power james's makes as itll give an idea.
dean, no mine hasnt been on the rollers yet, there isnt a 4x4 one round this area, and i dont have many days free, gonna do it soon though.
the chip lifts the fuel cut, it was done by collins performance, the ones who do the cossie tuning. its now running 1.4 bar.
also:
mongoose 3" system from turbo back, pipercross induction. fitting an apexi fuel controller and TD05 turbo soon, also porting the manifold.
best difference ive made to the car is the AP clutch, and the STi RA box and diffs, close ratio, it flies

The worse bit i have done to mine is fitting a Paddle Clutch.
way to much of a judder, as soon as i can spare the cash i will get a plate clutch again.
The RS Legacy that i have has got 4:1 diffs instead of the 3:9 on my estate, and yes, it is a lot better off the mark.

i was kind of guessed it might be something like that
just looking for new plugs at the moment, can't decide what to put in, was thinking of NGK pfr7b's, any thoughts?
also; oil, anyone got past noisy lifters with a particular oil, was going to go down the 10-40 or 15-50 route

i'm turning this into a drivetrain thread ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
anyone fitted braided hoses? i'm going to but i'm worried about the amount of rust on the coupling on the copper piping end, will they go on without a problem?
also, anyone had blue/red discs
just bleed my system and ended up with the front left disc looking extremely colourful after going out for a quick test

Kev,
I've just fitted braided brake lines to mine and it made a big difference, the pedal is a lot firmer. Although a lot of that is probably due to changing to 4-pots and dot5.1 fluid as well!
I had a few problems undoing the nuts at the ends of the rigid pipes, the 10mm brake pipe spanner just rounded the nuts, so I ended up using an assortment of wrenches and mole grips!
My discs were a bit coloured after the old sliding calipers sticking on a bit. If all that you have done is bleed the brakes, maybe you haven't bled the front right properly, so all the braking effort is being done by the front left?
Cheers
Steve

That reminds me - James, when are you going to get around to fitting those MY01 WRX calipers and discs to Karen's Legacy??!
After all, they're all super-spangly-looking now I've painted them black and highlighted the SUBARU logo in gold.

Kev,
I got the Black Diamond ones from Revolution for £40. They are pretty good quality, although they don't have the proper collar for clipping them onto the strut. I just cable tied them on. They are the same as Impreza ones.
Cheers

dean, mine is an AP, only its the organic rather than paddle. they both have the same power rating of 350brake, and both use the same cover, you can buy the organic disc for about 140 quid to go in yours.....drives like a normal car with the organic ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)

GMS - yeah second that, it'll fit straight on.
downpipe and centre section is same for legacy and impreza, backbox doesnt fit straight on though due to the differently shaped body at the rear.
