There used to be hundreds that used to camp out on the roof of my old secondary school.
Only during break times they would all fly a lap of honour around the playgrounds ****ting on as many of us as possible.
It was a good day when you doddged the poop.
Consequently, I'm not fond of the evil little ****ters from above.

I've been away all week so only just had a chance for a quick snap of this little one out in the rain. I'll try and take some more when/if the rain stops.

There are still three of them and they've grown quite a bit over the last week.

Normally I would go aww, but I have to say they are ugly little spuds.
Was on a fishing boat the other day off Rhyl, the Seagulls were making a nuisance of themselves, on crapped on this little Chinese guy, doused him very nicely, he cleaned himself and then got crappen on a second time, normally I wouldnt condone animal cruelty or littering the Irish sea but the empty Budweiser bottle launched skyward seemed justified at that point, the noisy Seagull just adjusted its course slightly to avoidit easily but watching a frustrated Chinese bloke lobbing his empties at Seagulls is an image that will live with me a long time.

Gulls are no more vermin than any other bird. They have a right to life and although they can be a nuisance they are only following their instincts to survive.
People only excacerbate the problem by feeding them in the towns which is a stupid practice of course.
Keep food out of their reach and they will go somewhere else, like the local tip or whatever, maybe even out to sea!
They are in fact attractive looking birds, especially on the wing.

They are indeed.
These pics were taken from the top deck of the Alcatraz ferry.
I could almost touch them at one point and they were very graceful in flight, although they were, as most Americans are, massive birds!
