Stick with it fella, I have the same for sale in outstanding condition for it's years.
To purchase a high grade low mileage one in Japan, shipping + duties would cost a lot of money at the moment!
There's a lot of ignorant young fella's on here that don't have a clue about pricing and values
The unmolested versions are worth more money, maybe not so desirable to some because tuning bits are so expensive.
However in the trade.....anything messed about with dives in value! Yours like mine is a standard version in damn fine fettle, make them pay or let them buy one of the so many tuned thrashed rubbish out there. If there are fresh imports for sale around the £5k mark I can tell you for sure they have a shady past, the car that is
What I am saying is that if they are drawing a profit and selling for £5k as some do, something is very wrong! (Low auction grade)
Why on earth don't some of these lad's try importing there own, then maybe they would appreciate the costs involved doing so and what you buy for £4k & £5k landed?
Just for the record.......I have probably imported a dozen Type-R's over the years and you really do pay for what you get, recession or not.
Cheers

Now reduced mine to £5995!
Crazy when you see what the Sierra Cosworth boys are asking for there 20 year old jelly moulds with 130k+ miles on the clock's.
The Type-R's, STI's have got to be a better buy for the money, Sierra's being so dated and most with rust. Yet still demanding strong money???

I've lowered my price yet again and still I get w****** making unreasonable offers.
I'm considering sticking it in a lock up for 10 years as it's original and unmolested?

Id say its a fair price given a 2.5 type r you should be looking at 9-10k for a good one so stick to your guns mate. As for the comparisons with newage there a different car and arent the same animal and as for the recession stuff thats utter rubbish thats just people trying to drive the market down for their own benefit.
