Looks gorgeous Jacko !
clearly anybody in a lifejacket ashore needs to be pitied - theyve almost undoubtably spent a fortune being instructed

It makes no differance....

If it tells the time, it tells the time...sorry I mean if it rides from A to B, it rides from A to B.

Your not seeing my point at all.

You say your Casio will do all the things my watches will do...it wont, simple as that.

I am telling you that a shorter down pipe, or kevlar wheels, ball crushing saddle, aerodynamic helmet, and padded walnut hugging shorts will not make an ounce of differance if you want to cross a river with the bike above your head.

It will simply make you look like a complete to55er.

If you want to ride a bike, ride it, if you want to cross a river swim or get a boat, if you want to climb a mountain, but you have to carry your bike...leave the bike.

If you want to go to the moon, buy a SpeedMaster.

If you want to look like a pretentious pr1ck, buy a Audimars Piquet masterpiece.

If you want to look like an actionman buy a Casio G shock.

If you want to look like a Xmas tree buy a Ball.

If you want to look like a lunatic take your mountain bike swimming.

The fact you had a suite, or the reason you came to be in a suite, is really none of my business. The fact you felt the need to mention you were in a suite does come across as a boast though, yes.

I rarely feel the need to do this but F.U.C.K. off P1 you complete ****. A suite is nicer than a non suite - The OP wanted to know about decent hotels. He is the sort that would stay in a suite. Now P.I.S.S off you complete tosser. You managed to read what I wrote and are still writhing in bitter jealousy without any acknowledgement. Well I would be if I lived in Reading. It's yet another dull as ditchwater anytown that thinks it's posh because it's near London. It's not - it f**king sh1te.

I am sitting on a train and it is quite painful trying not to laugh out loud!!!!!!!!!!!

I think people watching me think I have hurt myself.

PS And to be pedantically correct the OP never asked for hotel information, more that all my hotel experiences in the South-West either made me feel like an inmate in a bad Thai jail or the accused. And I have not changed my mind yet.

Oops - no deleting this quality PMT moment now

I am not sure I have come across anyone from Reading who thinks it is posh - even though it has a John Lewis!

I explained clearly why we stayed there and why we were in a suite. The green faced waste of space conveniently dismissed that and still carried on bleating like the fat kid in the corner who gets no attention. Sorry but that deserves the full venting of my fury.

In this case it's a damn good job this is the internet and not real life.

If blind people get blind dogs; why do deaf people get 'hearing dogs'?

Seems a bit unfair on blind people. Mind you, they won't be able to see the signs for the Hearing Dog centre!

It was an obvious mistake.....

But they had already made up all the signs and notices, so it was too expensive to go back and re-do them " NO DOGS ALLOWED, UNLESS SEEING DOGS "...." SEEING DOGS ONLY ".

Matt - they're just winding you up just play along.

As for the watch vs bike thing hmm, i like both as i have a fairly high end bike but i also adore high end watched as you really do feel the quality when you pick it up sure it tells the time but there's more to it, it's like people who buy a car for the badge, similar rules apply.

Yoza, i love an omega seamaster planet ocean with orange bezel, what does that make me.

It would make you similar to me...

First on the left second row back.

I wouldnt have it as my only watch, nor my second watch, as the orange is striking/garish it is nice for a change, but I couldnt live with it for a long period.

I am thinking of buying a black bezel and black pushers from Omega, so I can alternate my colours, but it depends on the price of the parts and the price of the pusher removal tool.

Ooh nice collection, i'll take the bottom right one, breitling i presume.

Damn, im always a sucker for window shopping for watches.

I did fancy the casino royale seamaster, even if not to wear it just to keep it as a collectors piece.

Thats only a few from my collection, to show the PO.

I have 28 watches....or 50 odd if you include seiko/citizen/poljot.

My favortite/or choice for today is A Breitling Bentley 6.75 big date, similar to the Bentley model T on the right of the picture.

By the way thanks for asking, and allowing me to SHOW OFF.

what is it with Breitling, I must be the only one who thinks they look cheap and naff

made for South Africans who demand the biggest shiniest watch possible

and so does my friend -- whos Breitling is faulty and has been told by Breitling that they dont repair those anymore (its only 10 years old)-- but he can have a discount on a new one -- he is not impresed

I have never had a problem with Breitling, but I have with Omega.

I like Breitling, its a personal taste.

I have a 1990 Breitling Jupiter Pilot, so just on 19 years old....Breitling have just replaced the rotating bezel due to scratches....free of charge.

I would be interested to know what model your mate has been refused a repair on.

Yes Yoza its a persona taste thing, and I did not mean to be rude -- apologies if it came over that way

it may well be my ignorance on the matter

for the record I do like and appreciate nice watches -- I have a lowly TAG Chrono 2000 (I think) Have had it for the last 15 years -- but would love a Rolly Submarina -- but I cant justify the expense at the moment (5 kids, wife at home wada wada)

I will get the Breitling model no

Steve, I do buy and sell and rotate my collection and I wear all of them, they all get an outing, but there are certain models I am attached to and wont sell unless its life or death, or she tells me to.

Bubba, I wouldnt post on a watch only forum, it would just be me and Nat in there.(nothing against Nat)
