When it all started up, in Mexico I called my Colleagues in Mexico City and they just laughed about it saying that 40 people died each day in Mexico from Road Traffic accidents - so they didnt really care about Swine Flu
It all needs to be put into perspective, especially when you think of the numbers dieing every week in Iraq from Bombs going off
29, including many people with serious underlying health symptoms is a 'non-event', obviously my sympathies go to the healthly ones that have died, but in a population of over 60m we hardly need a media frenzy over it - just like with Mad Cow disease.....
So to that end I dont really give a **** about it and laugh at the stupidity of it all - afterall I guess the Media has to report something and dumb it down to the average level of intelligence of the human population........

the numbers make mae larf, the official figures are 3000 deaths on average from normal flue every year for the past 9 years in the uk.
america that figure is 30,000 per year.
the chacne of you dieign from swine flue are not very high, 99% of deaths have other health related issues as a compounding factor.
have no mistake, we all are going to get it at some point, the realy fact is 50% of all cases reslut in cold like symptons so people never even realise they have it. 49% just get flue like symptons. so for those with maths skills that leveas 1%, whcih includes those with health issues etc.
the media have a lot to asmwer for for the panic about swine flue, its not even as serious as normal flue, yet folks don;t go mad about that.
