Best place to live
#32
Taking inspiration from Bubba I think we need to re-evaluate how we assess best place to live.
Take the approxiamate square footage of your home and divide by 100.
Say, 1000 sq ft/100 = 10
Take the result and divide by the number of children that you have living at home. However for each child that is the product of a different parentage then that child counts as two not one. So assume two children from the same parents...
(1000 sq ft/100)/2 = 5
This is you PHI or Pikey Housing Index.
For example if you live in a caravan which is 160 sq ft and have four kids with three different fathers your PHI will be about 0.2!!!
Anything below 2 is going towards PHI.
Anything above 10 is you live in a boarding school!
(Derivative? I know. Entertaining? Let's see!)

dpb - the index has been updated since you quoted it
Mattee - Jeez mate - I am not surprised you are bragging - you have a 15,000 sq ft house! That is big by Texas Ranch standards!!!

Mrs Winner and I had a look at Sandbanks, we could just about manage a 2 bed flat but they would'nt allow cats in the flat...... So the Mrs said no... I wanted to "lose" the cats.

Where is the best place UK wise to live. Thinking travel time to work (major work area not your work), house prices, facilities, pace of life etc.
I'm thinking Oxfordshire, commutable to London, reasonably priced, countryside, central etc.
Maybe Cheshire in the North?
What are people's thoughts?

Tim - just to make this clear (slight misunderstanding recently) - you are Tim, a bloke and your partner is Paula Restrick (in the link)? Or is that someone different. Because I have been thinking you are female for a little while now...

Despite what you may have heard from the boys at the boarding school I went to I am actually male.
The link is my Mrs, she does however have all the trousers in her side of the wardrobe.

Yeah but i started posting on here/found this place when i bought a new Scoob many years ago......was just thinking Mattee doesn't seem to have any reason to have ever found himself here/come here in the first place? It's not like anyone just says to themselves one day "oh i think i'll just join a Subaru forum today" is it

Before I got the Golf, I tested all sorts including an Impreza which I liked. After the Golf was sold, I then tried a Forester turbo.
My inlaws also had an N reg classic turbo "estate" when they first came out. In fact Mrs Matt learned to drive in it. Why I'm justifying this to our resident homo/bisexual "playboy" who made a "fortune" on diamonds and property (apparently) yet doesn't have a car, I don't know but there you go.

I was honestly curious......as like i said this isn't the sort of site you just find yourself on or go looking for to post on unless you have a reason and you obviously did so there you go.....
I knew the inlaws would come into it somewhere
A fortune is a lot more than i've ever made sadly
